yeah but hes not getting you a 1st rounder a player and a prospect from us, like some of the packages I saw mentioned on here for his desired return.

But he would be a great playoff edition for us. Hope we just sign him as UFA

Ppl are really saying that Ott should get us that much?!
That's crazy
He's a good player, but that's ridiculous
He's the perfect addition for any team looking to make a playoff run
A prospect & a pick will do it IMO
How good of a prospect & how high the pick will depend on who of the 10+ teams (according to TSN) that are interested wants him the most

Could be just trolling based on some Garth blogs but yeah I saw some heavy price tags listed for him.

If Guastad can fetch a first and prospect, im sure Ott can do the same if not more

The fact that someone could replace Tony Granato in that title is painful.

I wasn't a Sacco fan by any stretch but i'll give him one thing...it's not the easiest job in the world. Let's put it this way, he was given the keys to drive a car that was well off warranty from a management team that was still learning how to win under a Salary Cap.

Pretty miserable transition from the Sakic days into this current crop but at the end, you now have to look back and realize how tremendous that flop really was for this franchise.

You are either crappy and drafting studs like today's current Penguins and Blackhawks. Or you are stuck in the middle for 40 years like the Maple Leafs not knowing if the arrow is up or down.

Hard to win in this league without that top end talent and Quebec had the same flop to give Colorado a winner. Sacco days just might have produced the exact replica of those winning years. This team is going to by dynamite and we wouldn't be saying that without drafting 1,2,3 in recent years.

Basically....Sacco is in all of our hearts. Just in a funny kind of way
