Unfortunately they were sitting home back in the states

Are we sure Garth was not the GM of this team?

Callahan is what he is. He is a heart and soul player that lays it on the line all the time, and can give you around 50 points a year. I love him, but any contract he will sign will be a very risky one, unless its for some young team that has a poop ton of cap space and needs to put a solid leadership example in their room.

I really like Callahan as a player. I do not like him for 5 mill a year. Like Vukota wrote, his style is starting to catch up with him.

But the locker room atmosphere was undeniable.

Callahan wants 7mm a year. Not 5.

Koskinen prob stays in KHL like petrov.

Cappy will ruin sundstrom and pedan if they come up.
Ullstrom looked great to start season last year and instead of rewarding him cappy buried him on 4th line.

Strome got called up. Isles went on a run.
Then they sent him down. While he was here cappy thought he only worthy of 3rd and 4th line duties.

Cappy needs to get fired. Then put weight as interim through rest of season.
If he does well give him the job. He fails then hire laviolette

I read somewhere about his stats being really good in the KHL or wherever, but just think from watching him here "even tho he was a rookie" don't think he has the skillset for the NHL.
Hey, wish I could be wrong, cause it will only help us down the road.

I think Pokka has a lot of upside based on this play in Europe. I think he even played on last 3 U20 championships for Finland. He is currently +30 in the Finnish League the second player in the league is +21. He is 8th in D scoring. Only has 14 PIMs through 47 games. All that and he is still 19.

He is under contract, which is good. Not sure when he finishes his military training. Hopefully we can see him next season in Bridgeport.

Not sure why Ullstrom left for Europe after last season. Thought he was a solid 3rd line player with potential to get 15-20 goals. Good shot and instinct around the net. Dont remember his D game.

Aside from okposo and Nielsen no player has excelled under cappy. JT doesn't need cappy.

Hamonic and Bailey have regressed big time.

Yep. That's why I think it's funny when people say snow is good when it comes to drafting. Haven't seen it yet? With a new coach they could be better sure but I haven't seen anything yet that would make me think the one good thing Snow is good at is drafting? No proof as far as I'm concerned.

The trade freeze is lifted tomorrow night? Do you think Vanek is traded tomorrow?

As far as I know they were allowed to discuss potential trades during the break so I'd hope Garf would have it figured out by now. If not we should definitely start to get a little worried.

I read somewhere LA offered Tuffoli, Muzzin and a pick for Vanek and AMAC...

Ullstrom wanted a 1-way contract guaranteed for about $1M, but Snow's offer was 2-way and of course lesser salary... So by tendering Ullstrom, the Isles still hold his rights, I believe

EDIT: So by Snow's estimation, PMB & Regin are better options then Ullstrom

I think we all know why team USA didnt medal. Obviously due to Derek Stepan not getting enough ice time. What a difference maker.
- Cptmjl

So it's not only in our thread that your obsessed with an extra Centerman, glad we've pin pointed the reason why we lost was Stepan was on the team

Stupid selection. Team couldn't score. One of a few stupid selections for the international ice surface. Do you dispute that? You did a month ago thats why im asking.

What did I say a month ago? What's in the file? He was a 5th Center, what if Kesler did break his hand, then what? You want yo complain about, Wheeler or Pacioretty go right ahead but get off the Stepan selection, it's so old and makes no sense to isolate him, no?

maybe your roster is just untalented and terrible? blaming the coach is always the easy excuse....you guys look pathetic. WAAAH ITS ALL CAPPYS FAULT WAAAH IF WE HAD A BETTER COACH GRABNER WOULD SCORE ON EVERY BREAKAWAY WAAAAH IF WE HAD A BETTER COACH HAMONIC WOULDNT SUCK WAAAAH.

your roster is full of castaways and busts. jacques lemaire couldn't get your defense on track let alone your terrible forwards outside of JT (who will never be the same anymore after the injury), KO (who will fall back to earth without JT and vanek), and Nielsen.

you losers think a new coach will suddenly fix everything. cappy actually got your crappy and untalented roster to the playoffs last year but then when things go wrong all of a sudden it's all his fault. 21 players are magically gonna become all-world hockey players just because a new coach is hired? the only thing your players know is losing. that's why no NHL talent ever wants to go to your miserable franchise.

Because of you saying he was a good choice over other players that didnt get picked. Thats why. Are you denying it like your constant whining?
