Let's see how good your boy Okposo is now. He currently has 24 goals, 35 assists through 60 games (he's played 59).

He will finish with no more than 10 points in the remaining games. And that's being generous!

You typed that all by yourself with your tongue stuck to the window of the bus? That's truly amazing.

Nilsson- since December, the kid has a GAA of like 2.44 and a save percentage of .911 in Bridgeport. Hopefully, he can finish strong there and get them into the dance. I'd almost like to see them stay intact, and maybe even give them back Donovan and de Haan, while we scramble around looking for crap off the waiver wire for the next couple of months. Might as well have some of these kids learn how to win together.

OK - then another question... would you rather be a Sabres fan or an Islander fan?
- FieldOfGreen

Since I have the choice already... Islanders.

Without question.

Its too bad that he has gained this experience bcs if he ever gets fired he wont be the GM of another NHL team. Hopefully X and I will be making a wager on that some time soon.
- Cptmjl

DP will backstop back to back Stanley Cup championship teams before Snow is hired by another NHL franchise as the GM.

He'll get a head scouting position and you and X will be arguing over what the terms of the bet were.

No arguing on my part, just reminding.

Stewart,Gordon,Sterling never got another head coaching job in the NHL after being fired by the Isles. Cappy will be the next one on that list. The trend continues
- Vukota

Gordon sucked, but he will coach in the NHL again

are the other 2 even still alive?

Seems like Lee and Strome are on a tear. I am interested in Persson and Sundstrom...big swedish guys - it has been long time since we had any Swedish players playing for the Isles full-time (Ullstrom didnt play that much even though I wish we kept him instead of getting Bouchard/Regin). Both Sweden and Finland are producing great players, which can be seen on the international stage. Just wish Isles would be drafting more of them. I think they have much some progress lately though with Pokka, Nillson, Koskinen and Rydberg,

I keep hearing a lot of good things about Pokka, so he could be the darkhorse prospect, but I believe he has to serve 2 more years of military service before he is allowed to come over, so Pokka could be 3-4 yrs away. Nillson I think will be our starting G depending on his health issues, Koskinen I don't think will even make it, and Rydberg don't know much about.

I don't know if he improved since last year, but when I watched BPort last season, Persson was a poor skater. Decent hands and instincts around the net, but he'd need a Tavares-like improvement in skating to have a chance, I think.

Actually for what it's worth, going strictly by the stats, Koskinen's putting up some impressive numbers in the KHL...as in the third best sv% in the league at the moment with the two in front of him playing in half as many games. I don't know if he's coming back though...or if he does when that'd be as he's signed for next season by his KHL team.

I read somewhere about his stats being really good in the KHL or wherever, but just think from watching him here "even tho he was a rookie" don't think he has the skillset for the NHL.
Hey, wish I could be wrong, cause it will only help us down the road.

There's a reason that few are hired after leaving here. Not doing a good job being probably the biggest one.

Bridgeport is 11 points out of the 8th playoff spot...I'd rather see Strome, Lee and maybe Mayfield brought up for the last 22 games...

Don't forget to bring up Finley
If we are going to lose the majority of games left, might as well beat up the other team..

Finley was hurt all season. I forgot all about him until I saw him in the highlights from last night's game. Truthfully, I wonder if he would have been a better option than Carkner. Maybe I just don't remember how bad he was, while Carkner give me constant reminders...

No Finley is bad, but since Garf is so worried about our season tixx holders, might as well as entertain the fanbase w/fights since this team will not win many games down the stretch

EDIT: I'd even bring up Gallant & Halmo to contribute as well

Maybe this tactic of playing the same way the big club does isnt such a great idea?
