Realistically you guys have a higer cost of living, and depending on where you compare yourself to in the USA, the US has many poopholes, you dont exactly have a better standard of living.

But the tax rate is not even comparable, at least comparing it to ontario, and I live in NYS, one of the worse states in regards to taxes.
