Well she isn't exactly wrong, but she is being a subjective female dog about it. Those studies are true as it during important developmental stages of a teens brain, but it applies to anything from other drugs, to alcohol to concussions. It is also a lowering of ones full potential, wouldn't call everyone stupid cause of it. They also did research on those that start after the age of 22 or 25 I think it was and it was shown to have no effects on ones IQ. Preachy female doges can go (frank) themselves.

Did you watch the whole thing? She was fairly even over all in her assessment and research.

At one point she specifically mentions that most of the negative press is politically driven in a skewed way.

I know Canada lost Tavares and Stamkos, and left others at home, but man its either a testament to our relative depth or just a bit of luck that Sweden didn't have Zetterberg, Hank Sedin, and Backstrom. I'm betting it would have been have a lot closer game with say, two of those guys in for Sweden. Of course they also left Hedman at home and barely played OEL so they can take some of the blame for that.

Not sure anyone would have stopped Canada though. I think this team was better than the 2010 team and watching the games and looking through some of the stats, they were never were in danger of being matched in quality in execution. A lot of the newer forwards made bigger impacts than the guys they replaced from 2010 imo, while most of the returnees were even better this time around.

I remember that intermission when he said that. He makes some good points. Let's say we keep yak, nuge, hall, gagner, Perron and eberle going forward. We need a big player at each forward position to fill that in.

We would probably have to add two by free agency and use the first rounder to address the need or trade for it. Say kulemin, goc or ott. Draft draisaitl or dal colle or virtanen (depending where we land).

Congrats to Canada on the win! I'm proud that the Swedes were even able to pull of silver considering the number of significant injuries and relative size of the nation!
