All posters are welcome in all threads, regardless of team loyalty, to discuss hockey. But do not post merely to inflame or disrupt.

Do not engage those who are out to disrupt the thread. Simply hit the post report button "!" and the Mods will deal with it from there.

Do not correct the spelling and grammar of other posters. Their errors may make you question how much credence to give their opinions, that’s up to you, but correcting their lapses is rude and trollish.

Yeah. I am never the grammar nazi, but this guynwas saying he has worked for the chief economist of Canada, and blah blah blah. Trying to discredit everyone else because of his background, as if the economy has anything to do with watching hockey.

But anyways, all I said was "I doubt you work for him because your sentence structure is atrocious and you, should, use, a few, more, commas your sentence." Literally all I said.

And I got banned for 2 days wuth the message, "take a day off. Rude grammar correction." I didn't know you could correct grammar rudely.

My point was just calling the guy out on his bullpoop.

That made my day.

Oh I am a self admitted grammar Nazi. Just one of my pet peeves. The funny part is that most of the people respond with "grammar doesn't count on the internet". Well when the (frank) does it count, and when it does count do you think your brain will just start doing it correctly, after doing it the wrong way so often?

I really can't pick a winner. Teams are too evenly matched. Only benefit to the Canadians is that the American approach to the game, will be different than the other less skilled teams. Opening the ice up more. Don't think there will be the collapse in front of the net like all the previous teams have done against Canada. Think Canada has the slight edge on D, but other than that pretty even, and it is one game, anything can happen.

That's why it was funny to me. Petty poop. I think it had more to do with my team affiliation. Everyone was ragging on the guy, I just said a simple thing, and I'm the only one banned.

You can talk crap about your brother, but if some stranger talks crap to your brother, you're going to beat him up.

Going into it, a lot of people said the Americans had the slightly better D and Canada had the better forwards (obviously).

But so far, it seems Canada's D has been coming through like crazy while the forwards for the Americans are looking like world beaters.

At this stage in history, Canada may have better talent overall, but at some point, elite is elite if you catch my drift. I think the talent gap is small as ever.

That is true. I only mention it when someone is being an a$$, talking like a know it all. I figure if you are going to imply that you know more than someone else, (especially when hockey talk is more opinion than knowledge) then your writing should at least have the resemblance of someone who is intelligent.
