Languages by number of native speakers worldwide(millions), and % of world population speaking it...

Mandarin 935 14.1%
Spanish 387 5.85%
English 365 5.52%
Hindi 295 4.46%

So yeah, Mandarin by a landslide. Three times English and Spanish.

- Colin Dambrauskas

English is number one if you include people who speak it as a second language.
Not many people speak mandarin as a second language, that's why English is considered the 'global language'.

yes. besides toronto's strength is in their defensive prospects

and its not like the leafs are old in the forward core.

it will come around.

The Biggs and Gauthier picks where safe picks imo in that they both have a legit shot at making the NHL but the problem is they will likely be bottom end players(3-4 liners)..Maybe it's time they started looking at taking a risk with picks as in boom or bust type rather than the safe picks..

found this:

Don't know who had the first, but they were quite common in the 1970s before Gretzky.

- Darryl Sittler had one in Toronto which prevented Puch Imach from trading him when their relationship went sour

- Carol Vadnais had to waive his NTC in order for the blockbuster Boston/NY 1975 trade to go through

- Gordie, Mark and Marty Howe all had NTCs as part of the deal when they joined the WHA.
