Whelp so much for my hope against hope. This is a two year injury if true (to full strength) Unreal.

Maybe Isles could ask Sabres to change the 1st pick to 2016?

Maybe we can sue the PA for wanting to play these games? No problem with players getting mad at us. They do not want to sign with us anyway.

This is why I don't normally read her blogs. It was such an absurd and unprofessional thing to write. I really don't know why HB tolerates it.

Because she's a female with a press credential. Affirmative action at its finest.

Definitely. However news coming out this early of multiple ligament damage is a huge red flag. They don't miss those early very often these days. Of course severity of each tear will need to be determined.

Yes but 2 years? That's being very pessimistic. He will be back september more than likely.

You got it. If your site is essentially run by someone with no credibility, the more press passes the better. This and the Nash/concussion comment are beyond defense. Pure stupidity and this site is equally responsible for promoting it.

Not saying he would be out for that long at all, but if it's a complete tear of multiple ligaments it can often take up to two years for full strength. He could definitely be back by mid November at the latest

Someone needs to email the link to Snow. If he reads it maybe he'll pull her credentials.

How much do Islander fans have to take? We should get a new GM and coach out of this season at least.

It's one of those injuries where you can come back within half a year or even earlier with the surgery they have nowadays but to regain full strength and then the mental confidence that your knee is good could take up to 2 years. Just look at rg3 and d rose for examples.

Hopefully its not that serious. Tavares is the epitome of pure class.

Yep, I've already embraced the incompetence of this management team.
So I'm really not expecting major changes and sad to see who the Isles will over-pay to reach cap floor...

Not sure, someone needs to throw a bucket of paint on him so he becomes visible again

First it was top goalie Dipietro getting hurt at the all-star break(obviously never recovered)...now JT in the Olympics! I'm so f-cking pissed right now and not sure if I want to watch another game till he gets back...ok that's my anger talking!

Without JT, these players become a team and power on to the playoffs.... Best thing that could have happened to them.

She brought that on herself with the Nolan retribution comment. That was just stupid. At some point eklund needs to get her off the site permanently.

Another locked Dee blog... which is becoming the norm.

She said.. that maybe JT's Injury was the cause of Ted Nolan trying to get back at the Islanders for firing him.

Her exact quote "Just wondering if this is some sort of Nolan retribution on the Isles?"

which of course created a sh!t storm.

Just a typical Wed on Hockeybuzz
