Point is that quite a few are saying that Horcoff is better than Clarkson but those same couldn't get rid of Horcoff fast enough. Clarkson plays bigger than his size but he is being under untilized in Toronto.

I would love a shot at Yakupov but I don't think the Leafs have all the assets to get him.

I think most people know that Horcoff and Gordon are very similar. EDM mgmt just thought the best thing for his career would be a new start. Plus 2.5M in cap doesn't hurt

Well most of us agree that we dodged a bullet with the contract Mac T offered Clarkson, so he likely would suffer the same fate as Horc. You can get paid in Edmonton, but you gotta earn it everyday.

Who cares what some idiot fans wanted to do, doesn't change the facts. Horcoff's problem was that he had a bad contract, which hurt the team cap wise, I think the majority of the intelligent fans were able to recognize he had lots of value at around 3mil per season. Clarkson is getting over 5mil, can you tell me he has earned that thus far this season?

So is EDM expected to look only at the positives of him coming to EDM? Ignore that he may never have over 30-35P in his 6 more seasons at a crazy cap hit and hope for the best? His value's crazy low right now

Oh for sure. I can't comment about him not being used properly as I don't watch a lot of leafs games. We hear a lot about not being used properly in regards to guys like Omark Injuries are always a risk, but he is accountable for his suspension, so can chalk that up to him not being worth the money. But that is what happens to UFA's these days. They get paid.

I don't get the Clarkson thing. With his contract he better be top 6. And on the Oilers he wouldn't be. We just got rid of an over paid 3C. Why would we want to add a 3LW with a horrid contract.
