It was dupuis...now he's playing with an AHLer...Gibbons is good but at 5'8 no more than 170 soaking wet he just can't do much against opposing top pairings...I think this point as pens fans or at least the knowledgeable ones we aren't looking for some superstar for him, just a proven talent that can keep up with how he sees the game. Hemsky probably could do that. And the shoot first winger on that line is Kuni anyway. Hemsky would add a nice element of skill, just worry a bit about his consistency.

Nobody can question his skill level but this is a guy who has scored 20+ 2x in his career and hasn't played a playoff game since 2006. He produced very well in the playoffs but for a team like Pittsburgh who's in it to win it, I think they go after a guy who has a more recent playoff track record or ability to be a consistent trigger man.

I think he'll end up on a team like Chicago or San Jose.

I'm sure EDM'd hold half(2.5) of Hemsky's salary if they trade him to a contender. If he'd choose to re-sign in PIT, it'd probably be in the 3-4M range(look at briere)

my point is that pittsburgh needs toughness, grit and scoring ability in a single player. hemsky is not that player so he doesn't solve the penguins need. he does however solve a need for teams like chicago and san jose.

i was not comparing hemsky to jumbo and neither should you.
