It could be argued that they are seeing less ice time, ranging from 12 minutes to a shade under 15 per game each. In all likelihood that's what they should be getting though so I agree that it does seem contradictory.

It's just hard to come up with other reasons not to play the best offensive player in the world the max amount of minutes he can handle. I think we can all agree that Canada hasn't needed him on the ice for 18-20 minutes a game yet but we will soon imo.
