The played Germany in the qualifier last time and Russia in the qf...... very similar to last time if they lose... - jribout
Exactly, teams will be different, but the path would be same. Not sure why it was so hard to grasp.

Vlasic sure, Hamhuis made the team due to the big ice, its unfortunate that he's only playing 8-9 min a game though as it hard to see his capabilities.
The reason why Hamhuis is in over Subban is simply because he is more reliable in the defensive zone, as Subban's offensive skill is mirrored by the likes of Doughty,Weber etc.
Vlasic thought............. - Whiskey-Tango
Canada should be putting the most talent in the lineup. |

still??? If canada wins today they go to QF against low seeded (Austria/Slovenia) if they lose they have to play a qualification game against the Russians (was Germans in 2010).
Do you see a difference?? |

Indeed, complimentary talent, that's the point I'm attempting to make.

So playing russia(if they win QF game) is similar to playing Germany?? - burn
How hard is it for you to understand.... They played Russia in the QF after beating Germany ( a weaker team )in 2010. If they have to play a qualifier this year (and beat a weaker team) they would play Russia in the QF AGAIN just like 2010..... The biggest advantage to winning today is the 2 days off so they are not fading late in the periods in the Gold like 2010 |

First period Canada was outstanding. Rask bailed the Fins out. Push back in the second. Hopefully canada does the same in the third. |
