if they dont i'll be shocked.. cap friendly secondary scoring.. teams will line up for a guy like him at his salary

If we somehow actually got Neil (as opposed to someone like him) I can't begin to imagine how conflicted I would be

and if he is just playing third line minutes we have a ton of guys who could replace him on the marlies.

move him out.. either for a piece or to augment the picks and prospects

Got to make room for Bolland after the break. take Raymond out (add a nice little piece) and add Bolland. I think they are better off.

Andbolland!

i dont know about bolland.. he might have to take a short cheap deal to prove his durability first

re-up for one more year at the same salary he is making now for instance.

depends on how he does when he gets back.. hopefully the same guy comes back and not just some guy who is way behind the NHL pace.

worked during the wilson years

Seriously, you say this every time. Am I the only person who remembers Wilson keeping Orr AND Rosehill in the lineup? He eventually sent them down as a last-dtch effort before he got poopcanned, and Burke wasn't thrilled about it.

I get the prevention idea that you are preaching, but Wilson is not the example.

For the record, I agree that you need a couple big tough guys who will punish the rats when needed. I also happen to think Gleason and Clarkson are more than enough for that.

Last year, I started calling him Joshrey Leipul, as that's where I see him fitting in for the long-term. Top 6 LW

gleason is a d-man.. you dont want a d-man doing that job

clarkson is supposed to be top 6.. so same goes

you need a guy like orr...and yes i remember them in the lineup under wilson.. thats when they went on that run before that epic collapse.. interesting how that lines up huh?

i am all for replacing a face puncher with a face puncher who can contribute as well.. but i am not okay with a replacement that sacrifices toughness

Orr and McLaren are just as useful as Ranger. And we you may know, Ranger isnt useful. He has a negative affect on this team.

Hilarious. Same people who like Ranger and the same who support Orr and McLaren.

Funny how that lines up eh

Yes that's smart.
The leafs wouldnt miss their 4th highest scoring player this year.
Ya that wouldnt miss his 34pts.

secondary scoring...yup dont need that.

Lets keep Orr instead.

Fair point. Wilson only chopped those guys after the wheels fell off though. I don't think it's as cut and dry as "Orr and Rosie went down, Leafs started sucking"

I also agree with the last point. For as much as he sucks at fighting, I think Bodie's play has warranted him a spot on that line and makes one of the two goons expendable. The guy will still drop 'em and I always feel like our 4th line is actually somewhat respectable when he's on it.

I wish we could find a Sean Thornton type for the other spot. Hoping Devane or Broll end up being a player like that, but they are a ways off
