10 points in 31 games between two of the top wingers in the NHL and he was solid?

That screams he's not ready.

- prock

Ummm what???

Who are you talking about??

Those numbers correlate to no one on the leafs.

Well we've nuanced this fine debate into it's finest detail and we didn't swear or get banned! We'll have to agree to disagree as to whether Holland et al. are better suited to the role of playoff 3rd line winger (2nd line substitute) then is Raymond.

The perfect outcome for both of us would be to trade Raymond for better 3rd line option. Some playoff team who needs scoring and has an abundance of checkers may be out there .....Kings?

I want to win some playoff games. IMHO, McLement needs to be the 4th line centre, D'Amigo and Smith are a big downgrade, and Bodie, Holland and Ashton are nicer on the 4th line wings and/or pressbox.
- The Law

Why do you see Holland as a 4th liner?

I like his game better than Raymond's, and he can play center.

When Bolland and Holland come back, I don't see much room for Raymond in the bottom-6...

Yeah he does. Its plainly obvious. Second and third line minutes and puts up twice the points vs first line minutes and linemates.

He got his chance. He's not ready.

- prock

Holland?? He's played have his time on the 4th line, with some 3rd line mins. That's not true. He was OK on the 3rdline, and very well on the 2nd line.

but he's young, he'll be up and down, just like Raymond.

I think Holland had 1 or 2 games on the top line when they first acquired him, and the Leafs had only Kadri and McClement as their centers

Both Holland and Kulemin can fill in on the 2nd line, but are better defensively than Raymond, and better suited to the 3rd line role.
