Yeah, the break came at the right time for the Canucks.

I just prefer the NHL to international hockey.

My favorite part of the Olympics(as with WJHC) is how little known people become heroes and household names over night. (frank) the NHL, NBA etc paticipation

Agreed.

The most memorable Olympics for me was 1994 (other than the final result). The one before the pros got involved again.

What are the odds that Rodin comes back to play top 6 mins in Utica at some point?

I would say slightly ahead of the oilers making the playoffs at any point in the next 5 yrs. Basically don't hold your breathe

Or how, in Curling, anybody's mom could be considered an Olympic athlete....

His stat line looks pretty good this year. What exactly happened with him during his tenure with the Wolves? Was he not used properly, or did he just suck?

That's the one.

Was so pumped when the Canucks traded for Hirsch—didn't quite live up to the pre-NHL legend

A lot over on HF are asking the same question.

I believe there was an interview/article earlier in the year where he stated that the NHL was still his goal, but who really knows...?

I hope they try to entice him back while the Canucks still hold his rights.

A poster from Sweden says he's finally playing the grittier style that got him drafted so high, the way he played before his shoulder injury.

Still the question of whether his shoulder has finally healed, or he's just able to play that way now because the SHL is less physical overall.

It's a free asset (or at least already owned), and Utica can use all the help they can get, so I hope they tender him an offer.

Agreed.

Much rather be watching and chatting about the NHL.

Hope this is the last Olympics NHLers attend.

I really enjoy watching the olympics with nhl players as it brings the competition level up. However I also hate not getting any nhl for three weeks.

I remember meeting Nedved in Seatlle, I was down visiting my buddy Darcy Simon, quiet guy but very nice. That was a long time ago! Very skilled player!

I miss the NHL and my failing hockey team

Nedved shouldn't be on the team. The Czecks deserve all the failure they will endure leaving off Hanzel and Hudler
