And Quick is better . Put the Kings in Front of Miller! Look at Quicks stats this year . Love when Buffalo fans hate the only player that gives a poop about losing , hell I like that he gets emotional over it. . Everything he does till the moment of a soft goal just does not count . - Maximum Signal
Again. I don't hate him. I just think there should be some objectivity here. Honestly I think Miller gives USA the best chance to win, but I haven't seen too much of Quick's game, other than playoffs.
With that said, I'd rather Miller not get the nod, pull a groin, and then be ineligible or even more undervalued at the deadline. |

A) I never questioned Miller's ablility, As a matter of fact, I was thinking Miller would start .
B) If you want to talk about International Experience, neither have had it, Miller was at the 2006 Olympics in Turin but didn't play a game, he was in the 2010 Olympics which were played on NHL ice. so neither have had intl experience, so get your facts straight.
C) Garth is the one questioning Quick's ability with his 1000 articles about Miller every single day. - sliprock65
You questioned Miller's international experience . Do you think the ice surface really drastically effects goaltending ? The Goals are the same size Correct . All I asked was Quick's International experience. Simple enough question . The difference in ice surfaces is no reason to question Miller's experience in the crease in International games ! |

Just watch the Miller fans come out of the woodwork after he is traded and does well. The grass is greener syndrome. |

By softie, do you mean the play was off-sides and should have been stopped before the shot? Technically Quick had a shutout.... Let's take a look at a weak goal.... - JCSabs06
To be fair he played great up to that point. Sometimes you let in a bad one.
I really don't have a problem if they do play Miller and they should. Just get sick and tired of people trying to degrade Quick using the lame big ice excuse. Garth enjoy your big helping of crow.

Once again, get your facts straight, where did I ever Question Miller's experience, all I said was the US won 7-1 after Garth said he'd give the edge to Halak in goaltending for this game. that's all I said, never said anything about international experience. Garth is the one that brought up international experience because he's an f*n moron. considering neither one of them have it. So it looks like you and Garth need to get your facts straight

Miller is starting the next game, Quick starts the 3rd, Miller starts the rest. You can book it. They won't have either goalie playing this condensed schedule. Quick starting today tells me Miller will get the big games. |

Give it a break . I have come out before and said no one is supporting Garth's opinion . But I hardly find it a reason for you or others to attack Miller . I never spoke ill of Quick . Simply asked what international experience he had . Not a hard question . Truly an inquiry as I was not aware of his international experience. |

That's what I'm thinking, but it's kind of strange to have your "guy" to only play one qualifying game. I guess with Russia being in the middle there isn't really any choice unless you give Miller the Russians and Slovenians. I feel that to have him sit the Slov game might not be the best if you wanna keep his mind sharp. |

Will see, I think Quick will be the guy in the medal rounds.
Either way cannot go wrong. |

To be fair, the Slovaks did not have very many quality chances today on Quick.
Tough to judge on this performance. Wasn't much there to judge.
The best opportunity they had, Quick got torched on.
The USA defense played quite well today. Heck, the entire unit played very well.

If Miller does indeed play against Russia and plays like he did in the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver , I think Miller gets the nod in the medal rounds and should.
I would give Quick the easier game again against the Slovenians to build his confidence in the event Miller falters. |

Are we seriously still backing Miller to the rest of the world? He may very well never where a Sabres sweater again, yet here we sit comparing Miller to Quick. I honestly have more emotionally invested in the US hockey team than I do in Ryan Miller, who, as far as I can tell, won't be a Sabre much longer. He's one of my all time favorite Sabres, but if Quick can bring home the gold, then I hope Bylsma plays him every minute of every game. Worst case scenario for me is Miller getting injured and spending the rest of his Sabres tenure untradeable and on the shelf. I loved watching those guys play today. |

The only reason I keep at it is because you keep insisting I attacked Miller. I never said a word about Miller. that's the part that keeps annoying me and you obviously can't understand that. I personally don't care who starts as long as the US wins Gold. BUT I get annoyed when you keep accusing me of crap I never said. |

Quick has never been tested in LA like he will be against a powerhouse like Canada. I have watched both goalies for years now, both can be great, both can steal games, both can be inconsistent, both can let in soft goals
As of today.... Miller is having the better year, Miller has the international experience, Miller has the 2010 Tourney MVP, and Miller isnt coming off an injury.
I would go with Miller. |

Backhanded insult . Devaluing Millers international experience because of rink size. The nets are the same size, the size of the rink is hardly as big a factor as you would like everyone to believe. International experience is the same regardless of which ice surface it is on for a goalie. |

Quick is a winner, Ryan Miller is a choke artist. Not to mention he's Crosby's whipping boy. Quick elevates his game during high pressure games. Miller doesn't. Start Quick. |
