How is Fleury's record pertinent to this at all? The guy who wrote the article was a failed junior player and he felt the need to talk down to Luongo. I'm not a Luongo fan at all. I'm in the "Canada won the Gold despite Luongo, not because of him" camp. But there was still no real need for this article. It was mildly entertaining but in the end just came off as trolling (much like you are right now)

I didn't say it was pertinent, I just threw it all in there before someone else saw that I'm a Penguins fan and decided that I didn't know anything about goalies because my favorite team decides to not play proper team defense come playoff time.

In relation to this blog and article, I really don't understand why people view Luongo as some sort of awesome goaltender. It really seems to me he isn't.

It was pretty over the top and somewhat condesending towards Luongo. I thought it was kinda funny to begin with but I really didn't see the need for this article to exist, at all

Luongo was already announced as Game 2 starter. It's been the plan all along to have the two main guys split the first two games. Who starts game 3 against Finland will be the telling game.

I believe Lou is a great goalie, but feel Price is the better tender leading into these olympics.
