You mean when got an angry look on his face and flailed his still gloved hands around a little bit?
- 1979AD

No..when he scored the go ahead goal and set up the 3rd. Then whispered "FU Plastic Wrap" to Burrows as he skated by.

Neither could Brett Hull and Dave Andreychuk.

"His talent, production and potential should allow Nonis to package a D-man (Franson) with, say Orr or McLaren for a high pick or two.

Problem is Nonis & Co. seem to be too in love with all the guys they have, most of whom were acquired by Brian Burke."

Yes, he's maturing and he reminds me of ex-Flyer Brian Propp. He has great shooting and passing ability, but lacks being physical. However, you can't teach goalscoring, but you can teach defense. Kessel will continue to develop and with the proper additions to build around him, this team could become a contender. Right now, they're a couple of players away from being able to say that. The team has depth at all positions, but the defensive aspect of their game needs to improve. What needs to happen, is a deal for a right handed, veteran defender that can eat minutes and can back up Dion Phaneuf, to prevent a repeat of last years game 7 result. The next couple of year will be critical, to see if this team has what it takes to get to the next level. The ball is now in Dave Nonis' court.

Some solid racism and sexism going on in there.

Agreed! They need to an upgrade on Franson and Gunnerson, to get to the next level of winning a playoff round.

He'll always remind me of Pat Lafontaine.....but will never realize his true callling as a centre and what it could mean to his offensive production.

Not to knock drafting, but I think people over rate draft picks in this town. I don't like throwing our picks away for nothing but anything outside of the top 10 is a crap shoot. I think people put a little too much stock in collecting other team's picks. Just keep your own picks and don't sell off for other peoples lottery tickets

His defensive game will never be good enough to be a centre, in this league. Propp was a damned good winger with Philadelphia and very similar to Kessel. Those Flyer teams where contenders and almost won a couple of Cups, if not for running into teams like the Oilers and Penguins.

If Vancouver said: Give us your first rounder next year, for Kevin Bieksa, would you do it? He's 32 years of age, but would he put us one step closer to getting into the second or third round? My opinion say's yes, but many here would probably disagree.

Hmmmm, I think Brennan may actually find a full time gig in the NHL. A team looking to upgrade its PP. You watch, he'll be moved at the deadline for some late late pick and get into the final 20 games for said team.

I think thats a great reason to have as many as you can. Increase the chances of finding a gem or 2 on top of the Kulemins, Komarovs, Reimers, Gunnarsons you draft later.

Only 40 NHL games in his career at the age of 24.

Could be a late bloomer.

There was this other defenseman that scored 20 goals in the AHL, actually the last to do it before Brennan, the team didn't think that much of him but brought him up to give him a shot and now is a mainstay with that organization.

Who was it?

hint: he plays for the Bruins.

Though I do find it funny you went with a winger over another winger.

Tkachuk started as a centre, no?
