hey guys
can someone recommend a good hotel near the bell centre - close walking distance please

- MTL1

I've stayed at the Sheraton, the Delta and the Marriott Chateau Champlain. All are nice and close.

Pretty rare occurrence, unless you're a mercenary like Jagr.

Maybe he only receives 1 year offers.

Sherbrooke-Metcalfe...

Anyway, I proposed this hotel because a friend used to work there. Now that he's not there anymore, our friend here is sure to have great service.

Can't let him walk for nothing.

I am not worried about Markov. Bergevin will get it done.

Or maybe markov doesn't know when he wants to retire and has made it known that he is going to assess his next season at the end of the current season and so on.

Seeing as he is 36 and has a long list of injuries, I would say it is very possible that he would decide wht he wants to do for the following season based on how his body feels.

I'm sure Bergeron has talked to Markov about his future and didn't offer a 1 year contract just cuz.

If I may Eric, I think what 23 is trying to say is that there are better players on the team than Carter.

And there is.

- pete26

I got that, but framing it as "he's one of the worst players on the team" doesn't wash well with me...

I'd love to be one of the worst players on Team Canada. It would mean that I would be a pretty good player if I made the team. Far from an insult to Carter to say that he is one of the worst player on the team.

I'm sure many players would love to get labeled as such just to get on the team.

My first thought was the same as EE's initial first thought...Perry. But I didn't think the Getzlaf Perry combo should be broken up...

My thought after that was Tavares.

Crosby doesn't need a PURE sniper...as he can score as well...so having someone who can pass it back to him might work even better.

Someone who would benefit MORE from a PURE sniper is Toews...as he's a great playmaker, but doesn't score as much as Crosby.

I'll let EE tell us all that's a stupid way of thinking...

- number_23

I don't think that's stupid, but I don't agree.
Crosby should have a sniper on his line. That said, I think if Tavares moves from the middle, it should be to left wing, as right wing would be a lot harder for him.

I think Carter is going to end up being a perfect fit next to Crosby, and if he isn't, maybe St. Louis is.

Based on the logic you put out there, Duchene might best fit the description. And he can play right wing. And he's plays with Crosby in the summer quite a bit.
