I don't think these teams could be any closer in terms of talent.

It's what makes it such a good rivalry.

I want the men's team to win gold - I look forward to each game.

I hate the US women's team. I absolutely hate them.

I'm wondering if it's like the old Canada-USSR rivalry - we didn't know them, so it was much easier to hate them.

Kinda hard to hate Team USA (men) with Kessel and JVR on the team.

But the women?

I effing hate them.

- Atomic Wedgie

Rivalries are great for sport. I hope for a Canada Russia Mens final. Canada USA womens final. And of course, double GOLD for Canada. One of my daughter good friends plays with a lot of the USA team at the Uni of Wisconsin. She was one of the final cuts from Team Canada.

He's not being sexist in the slightest.

Sure a woman 'could' make the NHL... As a goalie perhaps. No other position. But saying you think it's highly unlikely is being realistic, not sexist.

I went to a Leafs game just after the Vancouver Olympics.

A guy had a team Canada jersey - number 10, and the name plate said Two Gold.

It was sweeeeeeeet.

Psst.

How many of them play hockey?

- Fakepartofme

wtf does that have to do with the point i am making?

my point is men arent bigger and stronger than women across the board.. our culture has adapted to what we are now.. and can adapt to be different.

you guys all believe that we were created as we are now or something?

this ridiculous post from page 11

"i am going to put this out there right now

anyone mocking the idea of women making the NHL some day will be banned immediately

i will not have sexism on these boards... get the (frank) over yourselves you chauvinistic douches.

its entirely possible ... who the hell knows what training methods they will come up with in the future.

dippoops."

Men and women are different. Race is skin color.. That's it. Gender is totally different.

With the history of collusion and cheating by the Russian and French judges, both countries should be suspended from judging the sport for a couple games.

What a (frank)in disgrace.

right now no

who the hell knows in the future tho?

this is my whole point.. by making absolute statements.. you assume that nothing will ever change.

its the absolutism in your opinions which leaves the sour taste in one's mouth

Who are you to say there couldn't be a future where a man gets a uterus implanted inside him and uses it to bring an embryo to term?

Well, if the current moral hygienist in this thread is offering up Amazonian women as proof of scientific adaptation, sure, why not?

I guess he is right - Wonder Woman could play in the NHL.

I wonder if she would fly on the team charter, or just take her own invisible plane?

I'm assuming she would play for the Capitals - their uniforms kinda look like hers.
