Heard that the Canucks really want Frans.

Wouldn't surprise me to be honest.

Here's my grudge though:

Johnson misses 2 games while Nielsen is going to miss 4-6 weeks! That does not seem fair at all.

Can't wait for that 2nd round pick.

I believe it will be more then that, but to get a second round pick for a UFA that none of us can stand.... Sounds like a win all around.

Likely going to Detroit. Seems like the best fit. I would welcome 2nd + prospect (ideally goalie - Mrazek) or 1st. I would even take Mrazek straight up.

As long as he goes somewhere and doesn't come back. That's all I care about. If we get a decent return from some unsuspecting team all the better.

Sweet news. More good vibes emanating from the most disappointing islanders season in recent memory. Next thing we'll read is that Santa isnt real, Sparky is actually not cool and PAP can't cure cancer.

Per Botta, one GM supposedly told him the best the Isles will get is a late 2nd rounder and a 5th. Sort of falls into my line of thinking. No one should be expecting a 1st rounder. At best we get one 2nd rounder and a decent second pick to go with it like a 3rd or 4th.

We could get a large fries and six pack of shlitz for all I care. One of those situations where Snow not making a mistake(resigning him as he almost did with him and Streit) or getting a crappy return. Him not making a bone headed mistake supercedes the importance of the return. It sucks when your management is so incompetent you're always just hoping for the lesser of two evils.

I think teams against the cap with no wiggle room will be desperate enough to possibly give up a 1st bc of Amac low salary cap hit. If Snow knows how to play the market right, but I tend to hold judgment..... so sad....

How many 1st rounders have we seen traded for dmen over the last few years. I just don't see it happening. Teams are trading multiple picks as opposed to 1st rounders these days. I also think that other teams may have a more firm grip on just how valuable Amac does than our own GM...in other words, 'he ain't worth it'

Judgin by what I read that there is a demand for him you're right. One of his best qualities is his cap hit to a team that is a playoff contender. Most of these teams are against the cap of course. Like I said earlier I just want him gone. Sure I'd love a nice return but him being gone and off this team is priority number one. I can't watch Capuano play him on the first PP pairing or give him 26 minutes a night any longer. It's starting to make me physically sick. It honestly is one of the reasons why I'm questioning being a fan of this team. Sick of the stupidity, it never ends.

Even tho we think that Amac is not worth it, but on a team that has a better coach, players & system, he becomes extremely valuable to solidify the backend of a playoff team defense. We all know that hes not a top pairing Dman, but has the ability to play well when not being relied upon.

Also in this years week draft, could see teams not caring about there pick this year...

Like I say, the market for a dman these days has been a 2nd round pick. A GM has already disclosed that Amac won't likely bring back more than a LATE 2nd rounder, so I wouldn't get your hopes up.

Wang isn't going to sell. We can all hope all we want, but this team is about to be in the black for the first time since he's purchased it with a Cable Contract that gets better and better. He'd be a fool to lose more than $180 million and then sell the moment he could start making some of it back. His son will own this team some day.

I just want a good coach that can actually adapt the team's playing style to his roster. I'm so sick of cappy and his bonehead decisions. BTW I'm sick of Snow too, but I don't think he's going anywhere. A new coach could make the team at least watchable.

Does his son also think sumo wrestler goalies are a good idea? What should we expect?

1st bold - not getting hopes up just think differently

2nd bold - Do not think Wangs son will own team bc Wang is only interested in real-estate not sports. He may hold team to recover from his losses but eventually sell.

This is a major misconception about Wang's ownership with the team. The portion of fans who think this team was purchased only as a means to develop the Coliseum site are way off. First off, he could have proposed to develop that site without purchasing a dying duck like this franchise. Owning the Isles gave him no more of a leg up on developing that land than any other developer and he's been in the game long enough to know that was fact. The previous owners had attempted on numerous occasions to get permission to develop the land around NVMC and were constantly met with no wiggle room.
There were tons of other places in the state he could have looked to develop if it were about the land.
For Charles, he's a legacy kinda guy. He see's himself as a true Long Islander and knows if he purchased that team and returned it to glory, he'd be a Long Island hero forever. I think it's that simple and he'll have no need to consider selling once this team is in Brooklyn, making money and (hopefully) winning.

After what he's done since purchasing the team it proves that the guy is off his rocker if he actually believed this. He has done nothing but made himself public enemy number 1 with the fans and politicians on LI. The best thing that could happen to this team would be him selling it. He is inept as is every single person he hires/has hired.
