I think the islanders will move vanek for a 2014 first rd pick and give us their pick this coming draft instead of 2015

I'm still on the fence as to which direction they go. Vanek and McDonald both turned down offers. Those are 2 key pieces on their team right now. Tavares and Okposo pretty much driving force of the top line, but Vanek still important. McDonald is by far an away their best defenseman.

They have to make the decision before free agency, which works in our favor. For the fans, it would be tough to sell that they have to give up a top 5 pick, but its the right move for them. I dont see them getting any key FA signings. Maybe a goalie.

They dont move into Brooklyn until after next season and what better way than to walk away with one of McDavid/Eichel/Barzal if they tank next year.

Still not sure what they're going to do. I could see them doing either or right now. My mind might change depending on returns they get at the deadline.

You have to watch it.... It's a must see.
