Carter plays the same game Sundin played..not a playmaker, but a power/drive to the net player. I would have Tavares playing with Crosby.

I got mad when I read that. Do you think Carter plays the same game as Sundin?

Sure, they're both tall and shoot the puck, practically twins.

So your point is there's a better goalie than Price in every statistical category? Not exactly confidence inspiring!
- 1979AD

If that's what you read then no offense buy ya have issues man. Price is having a stellar year and is if the the best he's the 2nd best goalie statistically in this tournament behind maybe only Rask

Eh, we will see.

I'm still not convinced that Quick and Rask are as good as the NHL stats make them out to be. And Lundquvist has looked much more human this year.

All the Canadian goalies have to do is make the saves that can be expected of an NHL netminder and we will be fine.

Quick played two amazing playoffs and one great regular season. One other good season and aside from that his stats are mediocre or bad. USA's gotta hope that Quick is in fact amazing (and, in fact, better) under pressure like the last two playoffs, and that they weren't just flukes.

The difference are the great season/playoffs are recent his good/mediocre season are when he was young and progressing.

Is this blog for real? Seriously? I would take Carey Price over ANY NHL goalie on my team Canada. Laugh all you want but all he does is carry my otherwise crappy Hans team. Imagine now he gets elite defense. Switch rask and price NHL teams and the difference will blow your mind.

Yes I'm sure your opinion has no bias what so ever either. Price is a dam good goalie, best in the NHL not so sure.

I figured they would have gave Lou the first game. I'm assume Price is the defacto starter then.

Yeah maybe it has bias. But I watch every habs game and can honestly say I wouldn't want anyone else between the pipes. I don't know how many hab games you watch but that team is (frank)ing awful seriously.

EDIT: that being said, I have no problem with Luongo either

I agreed with him as well. It is the only logical way it will play out. Unless, there coiuld be a big upset.
