i am more commie than most truthfully.

the unchecked free market is creating a world that will end up going back to the land owners and the serfs

its already happening.. the amount of people living beneath the poverty line .. who actually work full time.. is growing.

capitalism unchecked will fail.. just like communism with class structure failed

- Dozzer

I like to think of myself as a true Conservative. That doesn't mean Capitalist. I agree with allot of what you say. The market is not a free market any more because they've removed the part about the laws of supply and demand. When there's lots of supply, the cost drops. What has replaced it, is called supply management. For example, the Oil and Gas sector has an abundant oversupply right now, but prices do not drop. They no longer produce at full capacity, at the refinery end, to keep profit margins high. Same goes for the Insurance and Banking sectors, who share information and collude on pricing, plus match fees, so you have nowhere else to go. Everything from Cellphones to Vehicles, do the same thing. Supply and demand is now a dead issue.

Workers too get screwed in this deal, because they can get the work done for pennies on the dollar, in third world sweatshops. Governments receive generous political contributions, to keep the status quo, while the working saps get screwed over for healthcare, benefits and reasonable pay, while the fat cats buy more lavish homes, new boats, top end perks and stock options. It's a dirty, unethical world that we live in now. We have too big of a divide between left and right and nothing gets achieved. Unless you're highly educated, and few can now afford that, then your pretty much put into economic slavery. People are now so self absorbed, that they rarely raise a voice and accept the inevitable. Society is falling further into gutter every day. So where does it eventually end?

You people who believe that are such idiots.

The whole "Obama is an alien" story is just a ruse - a distraction so you don't ask questions about the sasquatch.

I pity you.

Once again, I raise my objection to not having Mike Richards on the team.

Can't have both the coke heads on the team. It was a safety precaution.

but I agree, richards/berg/ I forget who else is on the forth would be amazing .

It's a bizarre yet simple answer: the US electoral system is a giant fraudulent mess.

You know how we have independent bodies to organize elections, ensuring fair elections (Elections Canada, Elections Ontario, etc.)?

The US doesn't have any such system. The incumbent runs the election.

But wait, it gets worse: you know how you get enumerated once, and then you are ppretty much on the voting list for the rest of your life? And if you aren't, you just fill out a form or contact Elections Canada or Elections Ontario?

The US voter registration system was established to make it really, really hard for blacks to register. But the sad part is, the legacy of that system is that it gives the two ruling parties a completely unfair advantage, and they have a vested interest in keeping it that way; they will never finish with less than a silver medal.

To register to vote, you pretty much have to register as a Republican or a Democrat. You can register as an independent, but it is hard.

How can it be called democracy when the parties register you?

But as I said above, there is no incentive for the ruling parties to change the system.

Don't forget the gerrymandering.

Oh, we won this district 80-20, but lost that district beside it 60-40? well lets just redraw the lines so that next time around, we win both those districts 70-30.

or whatever.

(frank)ing broken democracy.

Honest question, what counts as political talk?

Elections only? Or are we including the talk about business and unions too?

Carter being fed by Crosby is going to be fun to watch.

So if those lines are what they are going with, who is going to sit out of:

Benn
Bergeron
Duchene
Marleau
St. Louis

Bergeron is valuable as a shutdown line guy, and Duchene has had a great season so far, as has St. Louis.

Marleau and Benn then?

I guess it makes sense to have him there as I assume they were planning on Stamkos having that same role on Crosby's line.

I like having Crosby play with unassuming wingers because our better wingers will play against 2nd and 3rd defensive pairings. And if opposing coaches play their top pairings against the Toews or Getzlaf lines because they look dangerous that night then you open up the ice for Crosby.

You just have to be clever about it.

Example:

"Hey everybody, do you think it was a big adjustment for Kessel to come to Canada?

Because in the US, the electoral system is screwed up. They don't have an independent body like Canada. It's basically a fraudulent system to keep the two ruling parties in power. "

Easy, peezy, lemon squeezie. Leafman can't ban me for that one.
