Brian Bickell 8 goals 2 assists... David Clarkson 4 goals 6 assists...

Burrows brings intagibles, is a great penalty killer... but he's definitely struggling. Playing with that shield isn't helping his confidence, as well as the Sedins being so awful lately.

Marchand struggled earlier in the year too, tough to yap and chirp when you are struggling.

You mean like the aforementioned hair pulling and biting...and the not mentioned knee to the groin? Those kind of intangibles?

Speaking of TT from Blackhawks Up:

http://blackhawkup.com/20...vainen-take-center-stage/

Quote I found interesting about TT maybe seeing UC ice this year

Which is why the Blackhawks may be looking in Teravainen’s direction this season. Hawks GM Stan Bowman opted to leave Teravainen in Finland to finish out the season and compete in the World Junior Championship tourney instead of bringing him to the AHL Rockford Icehogs to develop, and thus far it looks like it was the right decision.

Teravainen has proven to excel as either a winger or center and has demonstrated an extraordinarily high hockey IQ. What he lacks in grit and physicality at this point in his career he makes up for in creative playmaking. Sound promising?

The Blackhawks organization thinks so, and considering Pirri’s back in the minors and Regin’s presence will likely regulate Handzus to a healthy scratch most games going forward (especially considering how little Zus will have left in the tank after his Olympic tour), the Hawks are in need of a center during the home-stretch to the playoffs. Enter Teravainen. Considering there’s roughly two weeks to ponder bringing the young Fin on to the Hawks roster this season, the possibilities are tantalizing, especially given how easily past Blackhawks from Finland, such as Antti Niemi and Antti Raanta, have assimilated to North America hockey. So the timing isn’t an issue.

I am really curious to see what TT can do once he's on North American ice. I wouldn't be surprised to see him make the jump once Jokerit's season is over.

I think I know what you mean about Roussel, but all three of the above would beat him senseless. He's not a heavy and from what I've seen, doesn't have the punching power. (Seabs got surprised more than anything I think.)
- Studebakerhawk

You're right. I somehow thought it was the dirtiest player. And you're right also about Seabrook. Got drifted coming in.

Goalies don't get hit making plays.

By ALL accounts, TT needs to put on weight and strength. He has not played on NA rinks, been hit by NHL players, had to make decisions at NHL speed. He didn't even make his Olympic team, did he?

Why does everyone want him up here so seemingly prematurely? Why does everyone want him to possibly get his brains beat in?

Why not get him to Rockford for next year - or most of it - and let him get bigger, stronger, and more in tune with the NA game?

Well you put your finger in a guys mouth... what would you do? I'd bite .
You grow your hair really long and get in a fight... I'd pull it to.

Douche isn't the right word, not sure why people keep saying Burrows is a douche. I think of a douche as a pompous rich kid with a sweater wrapped around his neck who talks down to women and farts in front of people and doesn't care that they have to smell it.

What if he's ready now? I'm sure Stan will have sent scouts to watch him play in Finland and monitor his progress. He wouldn't be the first kid to jump from Europe to the NHL.

I don't think it's a knock against Teravainen that he didn't make the Finnish Olympic team. Saad didn't make team USA, does that say anything negative about him?

Much of this was written about Kruger. He had the advantage of joining a team that was obviously lacking in depth, however.

I wouldn't be the least surprised if TT gets a few games to see how he looks. Last year, they gave a brief audition to LeBlanc and he would seem to have the same issues as TT with a much lower upside.

The only reason LeBLAH got that so called "audition" is that the Hawks couldn't send him to Rockford due to him signing a contract so late in the season.

With all due respect to Finland's finest - and I know some are dark-horsing them into a medal, mainly because of their goaltending - I think it's somewhat harder for a young player to make the US team than for one to make the Finnish team, but in any case - Saad was a product of NA amateur leagues and half of a season in Rockford. TT has, in his favor, been playing against men in the top Finnish league.

Yes Bowman and the boys are certainly all over TT this year - I hope if they bring him to Chicago in two weeks, it's because they really think he's ready, and not because Pirri/Morin/Nordstrom have not stepped up.

I may be over-reacting - wouldn't be the first time - but as a Cubs fan for 60+ years I've seen phenom after phenom come to the show too soon, only to flame out because he never learned how to play baseball in the minors.

If the Hawks were a bad to mid-level team grasping at straws, hoping for TT to lead the team to the promised land, and save the franchise I might be inclined to agree with your Cub analogy. Might. Fact is, this isn't a bottom feeder, and they are not counting on him to save the team, just looking to see if he might be able to plug a hole. A 3-5 game look see is not going to scar the kid for life if it goes less than swimmingly. It's not like he's going to stay in the lineup and languish in a 13th forward role if he doesn't light it up. He'll be fine, either way. Why not take a peek?

This.

I've got a gut feeling that we will see Teravainen before the end of the season. I think he'll get a try-out at #2C before the season is done.

Taking a short peek - fine - if he works out - I would still prefer him at Rockford for his long-term benefit.

I'm reading too many comments here expecting him to be the 2C savior- I'm probably over-reacting in the other direction.

Short peek, that's all I'm saying...to start anyway. I doubt he's the 2C answer this year, but the Hawks are definitely in "win now" mode, so why not take the chance (remote as it may be) that he could fill a role? If you feel that all of the other pieces are in place, and the biggest hole is at 2C, why not take a look. Can't hurt, might help.

Ok - but if he turns into Felix Pie or Cory Patterson - I'm holding you personally responsible.
