I'd much rather have a 3rd round pick with that kind of potential. Granted, Percy has put up some nice OHL numbers. Also, I don't know what Toronto's D looks like on the ice, but Ghost (or, what he could become) is the kind of player this team could really use.

I know. He looks like such a fun player to watch. He will never be a shutdown guy, but he can really skate and shoot.

I was hoping we already would have had that bridge deal signed this far in the season, but it makes me scratch my head why we haven't and makes me wonder if we are going to trade schenn

You might want to check with Lupul, JvR, and Carter on whether a shiny new contract extension means you're exempt from getting traded.

He makes it look really effortless, from what I've seen. I still remember that game against BC where 38 guys played one game (well, not really the backups so much), and he and Gaudreau played another. They were just on a totally different level. And for a guy his size, he has a cannon. When he gets to let that thing loose, it's scary heavy.

I remember his shot being pretty accurate too. At camp next year, he may have the 2nd best shot of all defenseman.

He may well have the best. I remember that WJC goal he scored, and he looked like a mini Weber letting that thing go.

Such a vacuous trade that unequivocally embodied Flyers fans' ennui.

your kidding right? Get rid of a young playter just coming into his own for an older injury prone player who will not stay in philly. Besides the flyers need the cap space to sign defensman. Horrible idea . Erase this post please

Voila! In view humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the “vox populi” now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin, van guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition.
The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous.
Verily this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it’s my very good honour to meet you and you may call me V.

The Alan Moore comic was breathtaking. The movie, it was alright. Hollywood can't help itself turning everything with a leading male and female dynamic into a love story.

Would you consider the Crosby/Malkin era a failure if they only win 1 cup together?

Yep. Those 2 goals in Game 3 vs. Detroit allowed there to be a game 7. Very important.

I never read the comic, just saw the movie. I actually thought it was one of the best movies I've ever seen, and didn't really care about the love story since they weren't "in love" until the very end.

failure is a little strong, because some great players dont get there even once. but just one, is at the very least a large scale disappointment.

Do you think the Hamels/Howard/Utley/Rollins era was a failure because they only won one?

Also, if Ruben Amaro doesn't try to be the smartest GM ever, they win the WS in 2010 for sure.
