All things considered that's not surprising. He could still get a shot if the team struggles.

He'll play and hopefully get a shot at playing on the top line taking Carter's place. The Olympics are different from the NHL in that they dress 20 skaters and 2 goalies, instead of 18 skaters and 2 goalies.

DAY #2 - Duchene is still on the outside looking in. Hope it's just for one game.

I hate to say it, but i'm a much larger Avs fan than I am Olympic fan. I realize that it's a big deal but it still feels more like an all star game than a Stanley Cup finals. With that being said, if Duchene is watching from the press box, i'll be cheering for the Avs that are playing even if it's against Canada.

Example 1 - Duchene is out of the line-up and Landeskog scores a game winner vs Canada, I will cheer.

Example 2 - Jeff Carter is on a breakaway and Varly stones him....I will cheer.

Example 3 - Paul Stas..........wait a minute, i'm not cheering for USA!

My assumption is that they are playing the scrubs like Carter first against the weaker team in Norway so he gets his game played. I do believe you have to dress for at least 1 game in order to recieve your medal.

Game 2 Duchene will be in the line up and wont leave. Thats how it works in my mind and no one else can change it ha

All it will take is for Duchene to have Chemistry with someone and he will be in. I think him and Crosby would be a great pair and would be possible for them to be paired together for sure.

what the heck NHL, are you bored so you suspend EJ for that? It was a slash but Nilsson didnt even miss a shift.

Vanek trys to harpoon someone by throwing a stick and you decide to suspend EJ, being tired and resulting in a slash, after giving the Avs 3 dumb and somewhat soft penalties in a row.
