Hopefully. From the little I've read it sounds like Nurse has made some real nice strides since the draft. Morin on the other hand, I haven't heard too much. But then again Morin is on the slow train to the big city.

The little bit I've seen, Nurse is dominating because of his athleticism. Which is fine, it's a great attribute. Just wonder if he's developing his all around game as much as he could be, in terms of technique & learning the position.

That said, I'd take him in a heartbeat

Nurse would be the one deal with EDM I would actually get excited over. I wonder what it would cost. They probably overvalued him due to their needs on D.

So i was going through the scoreboards, the Sixers got outscored by the Clippers in the 1st quarter, 46-15... Almost outscored by Jamal Crawford alone who has 14...

How in the world do you allow 46 in one quarter?

It's awesome. They are going to get a franchise changer in this draft. It's a great draft

That's a good question. The Oilers are hard to get a read on....one rumor had them trading Gagner for Kyle Clifford & a pick...that'd be just awful

yeah they sure cook up some good ones. you mean hemsky and a third wasnt worth jordan staal? okay fine i know the pens missed the boat on that one. maybe theyll just take maatta if theyre allowed to retain their pick.

It really is strange. It seems like MacT either gives players away for nothing or overvalued the poopout of them. My Oilers friend is pretty fed up with the teams front office. Says a ton of fellow fans are as well.

their gm does seem to be a little brutal. haha ill be the first to admit though im still a little miffy from the handful of IQ points i probably lost discussing hypothetical jordan staal exchanges with a few of their posters back then.

they are in a very weird situation as an organization though.

Man I'd love to be rid of both of the Schenns.

Happy days ahead perhaps, for me!

Brayden better stay.

I think Luke stays too. If one were to go, hands down I'd rather it be him.

brayden is only 22. i hope they are not too quick to give him up.

edit: unless its for a very good under 30 year old dman.

That'd be what I'd be willing to move him for...Still rather move Laughton than Schenn

You don't like them. What specifically about baby schenns game don't you like. I'm assuming you don't think there's much growth with him in the future?

there is a reason schenn was the core piece of the richie trade... i just hope he starts showing us what that reason was sooner rather than later

I think he's had a much better year. I want to see more of him. Even if it means signing him on a one year deal next year.

He's on pace for 20 goals this season and has played well overall. Sometimes we need to be patient. Like with JvR...showed flashes as a Flyer, gets traded and continues to develop into a very good offensive player.

speaking of JVR.... 47 points in 58 games this season. really wish we'd have kept him.

Or at least got a better return that really addressed a need, outside of "righty shooting defenseman"

yep. starting to look like homer got fleeced in this deal. not one of his better trades.

hoping they don't do the same with brayden and jettison him too soon....

edit - that said - something has to be done about the plethora of centers we have

Giroux, Vinny, Coots, Schenn, Laughton...

Unfortunately, I think it took getting traded to light a fire under JVR. Im not so sure he has that type of year had he still been here.

I would really strongly consider a two for one D man type deal. And if they do that I have absolutly no problem with them taking another center in the first(if they're BPA)

Agreed.

If they trade a young one, they better get value. If they trade Vinny, well, I'd be more open to that, just because he seems less effective on a wing than Schenn
