The good thing is no one is drinking the cool aid anymore so Gillis is given a green light to sell

I'm starting to wonder if it's beyond individual performance and the team structure might be playing a part. I've felt for a lot of this season that Torts is trying to shoe-horn a style that might not be most suitable for the skills at his disposal. Maybe I've just watched the Canucks rolling a very open style of hockey for too many years though.

I was just talking to my father about that, telling him Gillis said on team 1040 that these guys are professionals and have played hockey all their lives and they should be able to play any style the coach puts forth... Nuts!

By that logic, any effin gm worth a grain of salt should be able to make a trade to bring in a top 6 forward! Or at least be able to bring in players that can play that coach's system
