Yes, you're the only one. Why go back to those players thst routinely finished in the bottom five?
- Jethro09

Because looking at our roster for next year, while knowing Snows track record during free agency, it looks like we will have the worst team on paper in three years. Who is going to play on the first line next year? Bailey? I rather have Moulson or PA.

I'd rather have Vanek and KO. Id rather have guys better than Moulson and PAP. This is a fundamental problem with Isles fans thinking. We settle for the least shi*ty. Our expectations are so low. What other fanbase in hockey goes into UFA and hopes for PAP and Moulson as their 1st line wingers to play with one of the best centers in hockey? Only us. It's gotta stop.

Snow was willing to pay Vanek $50M-$60M to stay. That kind of money should be able to land far better options for the first line than Moulson and PAP.

Absolutely. This is why Snow actually has "fans". If it were just about any other team their fans would've lynched this guy long ago. "We'll take Moulson and or PAP bcs afterall Snow isn't going to do his job anyway". Normal Isles fans reaction. It's time we start demanding a little more from the team we shell money out for.

Moulson on pace for 18 goals over 82 games with Buffalo...
PA 18g 32a in Colorado...
This is what we want for our top line? I'd prefer to aim a little higher. Okposo is already an improvement on PA. It won't take much to find a better player on LW than Moulson was.

We can find a ton of players better then him, hell we can throw a stick and hit about 6 of them, but none of them will sign with our team as free agents. He on the other hand might. So come the summer & we are looking for players to play for this team & each highly sought player passes up better contracts from us, to play for someone else... MM is there, MM is the best of what's left, do we pass on him because he's been here already?? Do we pass on him and have a rookie play there? Or do we goto the guy who has played there and has scored 30+ goals there a few times? I do not want MM back.. but if he is the best option....

Yes. We don't want Moulson for the next 5 yrs at least at some exaggerated salary. If we have a kid there we have 2/3 of a bonafide first line at the very least. That line would still be productive with Nelson(which it was)or Strome. Spend money on D and goaltending. Moulson is a waste of money and time. Don't want to see him on the first line for the next five yrs at least, getting sick just thinking about it. Plus, it'd just be one more stupid thing Snow does to make us look even more bush league than we did before.

I agree with you, but its just the way it is. Until this team hires a new GM next years starting lineup will be Nelson JT KO, Bailey Nielson Grab, Bum FA signing Strome cal, Martin Cizikas CMC

No, this is Snow's big year. Just ask the guy that was in Snow's office and convinced him to trade Moulson. He should be on here soon. Get his insight. He's spot on every offseason.

JT on the first PP unit and on a line with getzlaf and Perry. That line is going to be lethal. Its great to have the best ducks and the best isles joining forces. As an American its going to be tough to route against Canada especially since I cant stand half the players on USA and the coach.

If MM is the best we can attract with this core. JT and Bklyn on the horizon new management is needed. Plain and simple.

That's a give in at this point. The fact that some fans need more proof that new management is a necessity for this team at this point is funny to me. How much more do some of you need to see(not saying you)? I don't get it? "This yr Snow has to do something", common quote from one of his biggest fans on here. Says the same thing every May or June and he'll be saying the same thing this yr and guess what? There will be the same results and guess what? That same clown will be saying the same thing next offseason bcs some people are just facking stupid, especially the ones that think they're smart. In no year does Snow "have to do something". He will find a way to plug holes like he always does due to him getting zero respect from ANYONE in the league when it comes to signing players or trading with other GM's. Nobody believes in "his vision" because it's BS and they shouldn't. He can't sign people due to NOBODY wanting to play for him or his boss and not believing in his plan. WTF has Snow done for any player to believe they're going to win if they come to the island? I'm sure Snow tried to sell Vanek his "plan", how'd that work out? Why would a competitive player EVER want to come here with this GM and coach? These guys don't know how to win. There's reaons why these players don't come here and they are primarily ones that none of us want to believe, I get why some fans fabricate excuses when the reasons are right in front of their faces. Snow is inept in every aspect of his job besides holding onto prospects, THAT"S IT! Accept that.
Drafting and building from within in itself is a great plan. Doing it the way Snow has is not. There's no plan, it's constantly subject to change and overreaction. Look no further than our last draft for proof. Woops, forgot to draft defenseman so I'm going to use every pick this yr for just that! lol. One of the many bush league, moronic things piled upon the countless other ridiculous things he's done. Some fans will try to reason with the thought process which at times is comical to watch. If you have to figure out why someone did something chances are it was a stupid move to begin with. All of these "things"=no respect from around the league. It's not some conspiracy against the Islanders like they'd like you to believe it's because they are a bunch of clowns and don't/shouldn't warrant respect from their own fan base let alone the rest of the league. "When an opportunity presents itself to improve the team we will". Direct quote from Snow, when does this happen? Still waiting... Certainly didn't happen this past offseason and every one of us should expect more of the same this one.
So yeah a new GM is in order to say the least.

Funny thing is that finally the NHL network is basically calling out the Islanders of which there is no plan in place, no direction, and lack of proper players.
Also finally criticizing Snow for not having that ELITE player to be on JT's wing ( as a long term solution ).

Now all we need is the NY press to spotlight the circus moves, but we all know that wont happen...

The sacriest thing about AMAC and his contract demands is Snow offering him a contract and him rejecting it. I don't know which part is more funny? Snow offering him a contract or him rejecting it?

Yes, we pass on him for the same reason we passed on him last time. He's not an ideal fit for a top line player on this team and doesn't fit the mold of a guy you want on line's 2 through 5. More importantly, we don't want to invest for 5 years $30 million on him. I'd rather see Nelson in that spot if we can't sign anyone else.

As long as he's not on my team I could care less where he winds up. Snow offering him a contract is just more proof of him not having a clue or what it takes to win. One of the hardest to watch players I've seen in a long time.
