Vanek doesn't really fit all that well with St. Louis' defensively responsible two-way forwards. Plus they dealt Bishop because they had Allen waiting in the wings, I doubt they're going to leave themselves with no real backup plan to Halak. Rattie is arguably their top skater prospect as well.

Doubt Pitt is going to give up a strong defensive prospect like Harrington, also. Especially for Andrew MacDonald and even more especially to a team in their own division.

You would know both teams better than I would...not seeing either all that much...but the Blues are already second in the league in goals/game...LA is 29th. Given that quick glance at the stats, and based purely on that, I could see LA maybe taking more of a chance on a purely offensive player. They're rumored to be in on Moulson too, no? He doesn't provide D either.

But the Kings also want a difference maker. If they trade for Moulson do you really see them being that much better? They don't want to give up much but unless they get Vanek or Cammaleri, they really won't improve drastic enough where it would be worth going after a "big" to be UFA

And again it's always because the other goalie is soo great. It's easy for the other goalie to be great when you are shooting from far away and not crashing the net. I did not see the whole game, but I doubt they came out full blast. JT and Nabby are the only guys who tells it like it is.

Yeah, I don't think Moulson's as good as Vanek...but it depends on what LA's looking to give up, too. I think Moulson can be a solid addition if he's put with a good center...not just with Tavares.

I don't want to see them get rid of anyone other than the obvious ones until they get a new coach. Blowing up the team won't do a damn thing if you still have this guy calling the shots and coming up with the systems.
