Especially given their 3 first overall picks....that sets them apart more than anything IMO. - The-O-G
To take it a step further, those first 3 overalls sets them apart from every other rebuild that came before it. |

It's comical how people living in BC who for whatever reason like a team from another city (i don't get that unless you have a tie to that city), hate the Canucks the most out of anyone.
I know a Hawks fan in Vancouver, he wears his Hawks jersey all the time, it's like he has to prove he's not a Canucks fan... and he's always so argumentative when it comes to talking hockey. Is it a self esteem thing for you? - Scooby_Doo
Well aren,t you getting personal? I have been a Hawks fan for over 50 years , it started when I was 6 years old living in North Bay Ontario. For some unknown reason we got all of the Hawk games on the radio , of course it didn,t hurt having Bobby Hull , Stan Makita etc, etc to cheer for. I have lived all over this country and have always been a Chicago fan, I have been going to Chicago, at least once a year for the past 30 years to watch them play which I would say is probably more dedicated than 'maybe' even you have been to the Canucks?? So you don't need to get condescending when making your comments.

No I've been more dedicated than you.
I guess you fall into the old guy category that picked an original six team. However living in Ontario, you didn't pick the Leafs, thus you fall back into the same category as I had previously placed you in. |

Really sucks for Letang...
Wish him a speedy recovery.
But does this mean the Penguins will be in the market for an offensive D? - Fosco
Don't let Nucker try to trade you Letang in the pool .He is one sly dude |

My favorite player growing up in Ont., Quebec, I don't get the thought that you can't cheer for any team no matter where you call home. When I moved to this province in 71 I had a hard time cheering for a new struggling franchise, but went to every Hawks game they played in Vancouver. And Chigago had some bad teams that came to Vancouver. Eventually the Canucks became my adopted team, especially with a young family that I would take to the games with me. It became our family team, but the kids know my history with Chicago.
And why the hell would I cheer for Toronto or Montreal just because I lived there, fcuk em, I still hate them both. |

I must admit, I thought Vancouver would be a top four team in the West. Up until the end of December they were playing fairly well, although not good enough to beat the better Western teams.
Thus, I've come to the conclusion, I was wrong, they just don't have the horses to run this race. Reality has kicked in! But I'm ok with change, I just wish it would start with Mike Gillis, but that ain't happenin any time soon.
So we'll hope for a good pick this year and possibly some good trades this summer to turn things around more quickly than what your seeing from a Flames or Oilers perspective. - LeftCoaster
I didnt want to bring up that big speech you gave me back in July when I was on a fishing trip about how we shouldnt look at the past... only forward and Gillis is finally making the right moves etc...
I wont bring it up. |

Meh, I'll be fine to make a run still. Plus I got some good young players that have star potential. Love my team, just need some depth which should help when 2 teams fold next year. |

Be a little easier with a 1st round pick
With the ones that KB3 picked up, he's due for a pretty quick rebuild... |

Ehh, my first was gonna be in the 14-18 range, I doubt that's a top 50/70 player. I would have been ecstatic to get a Corey Crawford with that pick.

Yeah, mine would have been in the same range.
I just don't see a top 50/70 player available that late in the 2nd round either, so I still don't see how dissolving two teams will help either of us
Maybe if there are a few prospects still available... |

My fantasy team is stuck in no-man land's territory. I still struggle to understand who Immature Male's first few picks were spent on. |

It should help everyone's depth. That's like almost 40 less players owned, right? Makes waivers a little better. |

Are you willing to move anyone? Also, I assume you're going young or are you trying to get a team together to make a run next year? |
