They can fix that?
- wolfhounds

Yes but he won't be back this year if he has to have surgery

Typically they would wait a while and not do a major surgery right after a stroke

I wonder what his symptoms from the stroke were?

Think Lindros has the collapsed lung, Forsberg had the spleen.

But yeah, that's just kinda out there.

Lindros wasn't the brightest of guys. Thought that soaking in a tub would take care of it.

That team seems cursed.
I hope Letang is ok that is horrible news

You can't play hockey on blood thinners
He will need to get the septal defect in his heart fixed before playing again

What I'm saying is him coming back in six weeks seems way too optimistic

- Marc D

That salary will stay on their cap then right? They'll have to play the LTIR bull game like us. More likely the commissioner makes an exception for the pens.

Damn that was a hampering type of contract to them too

What did he ever do to get stuck next to Milbury on national TV?

There's no reason to make an exception.

Mason <3 Also that Mackinnon kid is a beast, he was all over the ice last night, he definitely deserved that goal. Ironically it came on his worse chance of the night.
- Girouxsalem90

MKinnon was impressive last night. i didnt realize he was such a fast skater. has decent size too.
i thought the flyers looked good in there own end most of the game.

WOW. Word from Pittsburgh beat writers is that Kris Letang had a freaking STROKE.

WOW.

- AllInForFlyers

Beyond scary.

I can't, for the life of me, see how they think he'll be back in 6 weeks.

Jones saved him only to skewer him as a teammate a few years later. 88 was not well liked by the guys in that room in 2000.

Thanks. I've heard about people with the little hole in their heart (sometimes after they've died because of it), just didn't know it could be repaired.

My Aunt, who recently passed away, lost their first child to that back in the 60's. Something that is easily fixed with today's technology.

Sounds like a posterior circulation stroke

Symptoms pretty similar to a concussion

The whole thing is unbelievable

I'd say its likely he's done for the year

i agree theres some impressive talent on that squad. their D seemed to struggle at times with their breakout. so, apparantly thats not just our problem.

they put the right pieces around landeskog, duchene, mackinnon and they could be a power house.

G and Talbot were chirping at each otehr all night. funny to watch.
