Yeah I think in that case it wasn't a trade, and it's very 'KINGS LIKE" to bring back players we already had so that and the buzz they keep saying they want him back because he is banging Quick's sister, or Quick is banging his sister is the reasons I wouldn't rule him out even if we do get Gagner. All I know he (Moulson) is another player in a long line that didn't play well here and then became a freaking all-star for another team...

I think playing with Tavares had a lot to do with the turnaround, maybe helped build confidence.....though on a bad Sabres team he's done pretty well also.

Gibson is probably the top goalie prospect out there. No joke, his name was mentioned as a 3rd goalie very early in the US Olympic team process.

Moulson? 9 goals in 40 games? I realize Buffalo is bad but most people have to see that kid is a one trick pony who is only effective if he has two line mates who can do all the heavy lifting. He can't play defense, is a terrible skater, can't battle in corners. Essentially Moulson is Tim Kerr without the size and muscle. He can plant in front of the net and hope his linemates create enough chaos that he can bang home a rebound.

Don't get me wrong, he's a great character, very likeable kid, good hands...but very little else for what the asking price will be.

MacDonald has been playing 25+mins for a couple of years now and is always among the top shot blockers in the league. MacDonald on a team with a deeper defense will be better, he gets exposed because he plays at a top-pair dman for the Isles when he is probably a low-3 or 4 defenseman at best. Is a good passer and has a good shot but doesnt hit the net enough.

Yup, d-men tend to be overvalued in trades at the deadline.

Hell I wouldn't be THAT surprised if Butler got a notable return, though that's probably just wishful thinking on my part since as I said, he's completely awful.
