We would need someone to replace him for sure, but thats why I mentioned PAP. I don't think Ryder gets traded until the offseason, but I just can't stand the guy. He does nothing if he can't score. He is basically Sykora. I definitely think Clowe and Henrique could be doing better if they had someone who could play down low and cycle better than Ryder.

I'm not the biggest ryder fan either, but its not like he's the biggest problem right now so I don't think we should look at replacing him until we fix some of the other problems (2nd line LW, salvador). Until we can legitimately role four lines (or get some elite forwards) our offense will always underperform.

Edit: I also find it weird that you don't like ryder but want players like PAP and Cammy. These players are all cut from the same cloth. Undersized, 1 dimensional, scoring wingers.

It doesn't matter who we get because as soon as they come here they'll stink.

I was discussing it yesterday what do you think about making a move for Heatley obviously we would only be sending crap to get him preferably Sal or A-train I think he would be the perfect fit on Zajac and Jagrs LW and he wont have trouble keeping up on our team.

He hasn't score in 11 or 12 games. He seems like a problem to me especially since he is always losing board battles and losing possession of the puck in the offensive zone. We are already able to roll 4 lines, but the problem is there isn't much separation between the top 3 lines in terms of quality. We really do need a top 6 LW. That is the area that needs to be addressed first for sure. We need elite forwards too but don't see how we will get any.

If we can get rid of Sal then sure I guess. Heatley is awful though, basically a 3rd line guy.

I'd be open to just about any deal that gets rid of Sal or Atrain. Heatley wouldn't be my first choice but I like him better than some of the other names thrown around. I could see him fitting in with Elias or Jagr, and he'd come cheap. We're also really slow already so Heatley will have no problem keeping up with our offense.

Yea I mean I think he would play on the top line but I think he would only get around 14 minutes so far he is getting anywhere from like 14 -18 I think minutes a game. I would just rather try him then give up more for Cami but Cami would be more effective.

Only reason I say we can't roll four lines is that we are constantly trying any player we can in our top 6, Lokti, JJ, Teddy, Boucher, Whitney, etc. We are clearly one player short from rolling four lines and with such small margins for error it makes a huge impact. If we can acquire that top 6 winger and round out our offense I don't think the streaky players like Ryder and Brunner will be as big of problems. There are many worse things than having a 20 goal winger on your third line.
