I think it really depends on if management is looking to replace Stamkos with another goal scorer. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Neal gets the nod for that reason.
If it's between MSL and Giroux, I'll take MSL. - Canuckleafer
It would be a great honor for him, but at this point Id rather have him rested for a playoff push. |

Not sure if he'll be added, but Jaden Schwartz was apparently told he was on the alternate list for team Canada... He can score and plays a 200 foot game. Plus, he is on good terms with Hitchcock. |

He might have a chance in 2018/2022 if the NHL is going. No chance he makes it this year IMO. |

I said it was a long shot... you know you need more that just goal scorers to win right? The guy is 14th in +/- with a +21 and has 17 goals and 39 points in 53 games... It is not as much of a stretch as you think it is. |

I doubt I'll ever say this again, but I agree with the Nucks fan. |

He's a great young player, but I highly doubt he'd get the call over proven vets like MSL/Giroux/Etc. |

I know He never gives up and can forecheck with the best of them. The kid is a pest and has a hell of a shot. I'd give it to MSL if it was up to me, but they didn't add him in the first place for a reason. |

I'd want him on the Leafs or Canucks for sure. That being said, no way he displaces players like MSL, Giroux, Neal, Couture, Seguin, Staal, Hall etc.

Well technically they didn't have any of the replacement players on the original roster for a reason but they need to choose someone. |

From what the hockey night in Canada round table said Saturday night, Giroux is not even under consideration.....
It WILL be St. Louis.....Neal, Stall and Hall are apparently under consideration....it will be announced tonight .....
To me Giroux is a top ten player in the world....typical Canada having to over think the obvious....how he's not on this team is embarrassing.... |

What? Why?
Giroux has a career .28 goals per game.
St. Louis is .35 goals per game.
Marty is clearly the better goal scorer. |
