I believe RD was none other than, Mike Milbury?
- LeftCoaster

Correct, the only 1st over all Snow has had was Tavares.

Do you mind providing additional information as to why you don't like it? I figured the proposal would provide some decent debate.
- ChetManly

We need a LW who can score, not a center who is worse than the one we are trading away.

If Snow doesn't surround Tavares with some better quality players and an NHL calibre coach soon, he'll be leaving as well in a few years.

Big deal between LA and Edmonton?

Come Ek you're about 25 years late on this huge trade.

which could be the case... Was a team before JT, there would be one after him.

a "big deal" has to include someone thought of as a core of the oilers.

and as for "not trading youth" perhaps that is negated if they get young talent back, like king or toffoli. i dont think trading richards is in the cards, he's too key a guy for team chemistry (ie, it would piss off carter who may sulk).

voynov? that would sting if it were him. but if it took him to get an eberle (not one for one) but some mix with those guys as the key pieces.

If it's one of the top three guys (Hall, RNH, and Eberle), I'd expect them to be aiming for Voynov+, but I can't see the Kings moving him as he's such an important piece of their blueline. Beyond him- as well as Kopitar and Doughty, who obviously aren't moving- there's no one else that would make me consider moving one of those three.

Gagner doesn't get the team much beyond a Dwight King or MAYBE a Jake Muzzin. That doesn't really classify as a "big deal".

I'll bring up a trade proposal that had some heat yesterday:
Sam Gagner + 2015 1st = Mike Richards.

- ChetManly

That is a wish. If the Oilers are offering next years 1st, everyone would want that, they are going to be bad, again.

hall for voynov and toffoli/king? the other thing about voynov is that his contract is really a bargain looking forward, so maybe the kings use that as part of the negotiation...not just a good player but one on a gem of a deal.

It's not surprising Vanek doesn't want to play for a dysfunctional organization, starting with a meddling owner, a GM who's yet to prove anything other than he can draft first overall fairly well and a coach who shouldn't be coaching in the NHL.

you just called out most of the cellar dwelling teams, who were you slighting?

I think Voynov is a piece they would move. They could plug Martinez in, and they have a couple of sold D prospects down in Manchester that are currently being "blocked"

Lombardi is not a rental kind of GM, if he makes a trade mid season he will want the guy locked up for at least a year or 2.

Doughty is not being moved he along with Quick, Kopitar, Carter, would not go anywhere. Franchise Defensemen are probably the most valuable commodity in the NHL.

I forgot to clarify in my post that Hall goes nowhere and that RNH only moves if another top line C replacement is either coming back or coming up.
