What in the world is LA sending out in this scenario to get Eberle + Yakupov?

Quick, Doughty and Kopitar.

Why is monahan worth more than Hall and Yakupov/Schultz??
- Morris

Not really saying he is. i do think monahan has a greater upside than any of the others listed. Edm has the upper hand in most deals with any team, the flyers included. It would prob take a kings ransom for them to part w any of the players listed.

I think you may be posturing a bit to much. You're not going to get back the value you gave up to get him. No chance. Unless a team is willing to give back a Moulson caliber player and multiple 1st round picks, Garth is not getting back what he spent to get him. That's just reality.

I dunno, a reliable source on twitter says Garth is going to push for a ton: https://twitter.com/kcos1...status/431099860994244608

Edmonton better be throwing in Eager.

I meant either, not both of course.
- Nucker101

Ah, I see.

I would guess with either of them LA is better off keeping whatever key piece they'd be trading out than expending assets to get one of those guys, especially in a deadline trade scenario.

And I don't think we're taking about package (of throw-ins) deal for Eberle or Yakupov

Might be a better defensive player in the final analysis.

Maybe Monahan = Krejci and Hall = Marleau if both hit their stride?

Right, but the rest of the GM's out there know this as well. I don't know how many real contending teams out there will be willing to give up a ton to get a rental player though?! Even one of Vaneks caliber. Point is, even if he gets a first rounder back, it's going to be a late first rounder regardless. Certainly won't be as valuable as the 1st rounder he gave up. My other point is that he could have saved his own pick and just moved Moulson at the deadline. He would have gotten a nice return on Moulson as well without giving up his two original picks.

Trading away Hall and not getting a top pairing dman back would be hard to take.

LA isn't giving up Toffoli AND a first for anyone especially for 3 months of Vanek.

You never answered my question from earlier...

have you heard much about Koivu being available... and MIN's interest in Miller?

That could be a very good swap.

That guy on Bleacherreport posted earlier thought they would give up Kopitar, Toffoli and 2 1sts I thought.

Never say Never.

Toffoli is definitely included in the talks.

Not as far fetched as you think... but I'm sure you have an inside source...

What is WGR saying...

You should read the tweet because it's one of the funniest idiotic fan trade proposals I've ever read.

I agree though. The Vanek/Moulson trade was pretty dumb from day one for Snow and I doubt he'll get to make up for his mistake entirely. The best that can be said for it is that, at the time he made the deal, perhaps you couldn't foresee just how bad the Isles goaltending would be for the rest of the year.

Do you really see any realisitc scenario where they trade Hall? I don't. I've said it before, I think Hall is the one guy you don't ever consider moving.
