If just don't believe Kane is untouchable. I wanted to see if anybody had reconsidered the possibility of trading Kane given success the team was currently having without him on the ice.

This has merit. Personally, I'd hate to see Kane go. But given that Jets need depth, if a goal scorer and good depth player was offered in return, I could see this happen.
But I'm totally fine with keeping Kane for a few years as well
