Big game tomorrow night at the Pond - would be nice to get this one in Anaheim with the Ducks in a bit of a mini slump. But you know they'll come hard against us. Playoff preview perhaps...?

I'm excited for the Olympics to see the best of the best playing on a larger ice surface. There's more flow to the game. But you've got the time difference this time around - since the games aren't here. I wonder how much tape delayed hockey they're going to show. Obviously NBC knows that the games will lead in to the rest of their coverage leading up to the playoffs and the Cup Finals.

At the same time injuries are always a concern. And with the Hawks in position to take home the hardware again - you'd hate to see one of our key guys get hurt.

Who's scoring for Slovakia? Other than Marian Hossa that team lacks depth up front. Tatar and Jurco have skill but I don't think this is their time on this big of a stage.

I really enjoy seeing the best in the world play against each other for sure, that said I don't care about Team Canada as much as the Canucks...I just can't force the emotion. Don't get me wrong, I'll cheer for the team and will care..but not nearly as much as I do for the Canucks.

The Canucks are a shadow of the team that made it to the Finals ...and are a long way from getting back to that point.

You should be happy I gave all of Slovakia's offensive props to Hossa.

I know the have a virtually no shot, but I like both Palat AND Gudas. seeing as Bishop, Marty or Hedman aren't going, I have NO reason to cheer for those teams.

Going back to what someone said about original 6 and the olympics...i sincerely believe this league needs to cut some teams. I know some people will say, "well why shouldnt the blackhawks have been cut from the league back when there were only 5000 people in the stadium for home games?". I dont have an answer honestly. I just want to see more stacked competitive teams, rather than a select few real good teams and bunch more that dont have a snowballs chance year in and year out. I think itd be sweet to see less teams with more talent.

Realistically this will never happen, im just saying i wish it would.
