If you guys won't take Garbage Dump Kyle Quincey then you can have either:
A) Kindl, Andersson, Mantha, and a 3rd.
or
B) Smith, Bertuzzi/Cleary, Mantha, and a 2nd. - TwoPieceFeed
no aging salary dumps.....

After tonights game we will be one step closer to 25th place and have better odds for the lottery. Now I know why edm likes lotto pics, this is fun. Top 5 pic or bust. - A_SteamingLombardi
Trade or no trade, this team is destined to miss the playoffs and get a high(ish) pick next year. I just wish they could go about it a little more quietly. The Islanders have been losing for years... |

Would love for that scenario to play out, however; I am thinking it won't. Cal, Edm, Isles, Flo, Buf. We aren't catching them before game 82. |

This team will likely be in "no man's land" this year. Either finish 8th and get destroyed in round 1 or finish 9th in the conference...either way you're probably looking at a middle of the pack finish/pick. |

I don't want to hit this one too hard, but almost all of these discussions are pointless. |

12- 8th in the west is def more realistic. |

But this year's draft is meant to stink. Stink as in it almost sounds like a mid first rounder would be an early 2nd rounder in a stacked draft (like 2015 is supposed to be). |

Fair enough.
I enjoy talking about trade scenarios that might actually have a chance of happening or discussing roster/coaching moves, plus prospects. But talking about trading the Twins is totally pointless. |

As we've seen here, the Canucks without a healthy Henrik are arguably a bottom 3-5 team in the West in terms of offense. - Nucker101
And with a healthy Henrik we are bottom 10, may as well get the better draft pick |

Or trade Daniel for a goal scorer for Henrik. |

These trade scenarios only seem to have a chance in our minds. Especially with Gillis at the helm. Even with that said, this site does tend to generate a fair bit of emotion. - AlexF
Yeah, I think HB is pretty trade obsessed based on the fact that people who actually looked up the site and joined in the first place was to check out Eklund's rumours. |

If we had secondary scoring we wouldn't have to rely on them so much. It's not a hard concept to grasp for me, a much more balanced lineup means you don't focus on the only two guys that have provided scoring for this team for as far as memory can serve me. Just look at the other players in the league with a 6 million dollar cap hits. Their scoring is only slightly a problem, or it SHOULD be, if we had secondary scoring.
Is currently Daniel struggling, yes absolutely!! - LeftCoaster
The same can be said that if we have primary scoring it would flow down. Sedins are 59 th and 60 th in scoring. That is not being an elite forward. That is low second line material |

It is time to move 7 million dollar man Danny. They could get a lot better bang for their buck |

Henrik's PPG when he was healthy was definitely elite material. |

As if he'd accept being more than a block away from his brother. |

Of corse not but they would be 26th-30th. The lottery is for all 14 non-playoff teams, 25th place gives us 6.2% of winning the lottery. If not it's still a 6th overall pick which would put us in line for Leon Draisaitl LW/C, Haydn Fleury D, Nick Ritchie LW, or Brendan Perlini LW, all of which are over 6 ft and over 200lbs. |

The twins will never be traded from Vancouver unless they ask for one, which is extremely unlikely and highly improbable. People should just deal with reality when it comes to them. - LeftCoaster
That's where Torts could be the ace in the hole to drive them out |
