Problem with trading with the wings for prospects is they trick us into thinking they are good and wind up being poop like Leino and Matthias. Have the Wings ever traded a prospect that became really good on another team? I can't think of one.

Edler seems to thrive with certain D partners and sucks with others. He's been good with Salo/Tanev/Ehrhoff and sucked with Garrison/Bieksa/Etc.

To be fair, we didn't draft Leino, and we traded him for garbage when we knew he would be nothing more than garbage. Also, Matthias is not a BAD player. However, you are onto me...

He can be any of those things; he's a really talented player. For whatever reason he, along with many other Canucks, is having a down year for a variety of reasons.

He can hit, he's got a lose canon of a shot, he's a great skater, etc etc. Just seems to be lost under this coaching staff?
