Yeah, I was more just referring to the Callahan-VAN rumours/speculation we'll likely be hearing about if he's still unsigned by the end of the regular season. I hope Gillis is smarter than that and doesn't get convinced by Torts to take that plunge. A 6 or 7 year deal at 6 million per would be a disaster.

Kassian Tanev. And Lack are forming intoNHL ready players so start surrounding them with some good talent like a Kane Benn ROR . I doubt if those players would be available aside from ROR but we need to start looking for that type player.

I'm not even sure if ROR is available. Brassard doesn't belong in that group IMO, he's a support/role player. Eberle if available would be a nice player to get, but remember that Gillis apparently wanted more from Edmonton than what he accepted from NJ...Mac T won't forget that.

I'd love to acquire a young star or potential young star without having to give up a Tanev/Kassian/Lack/Horvat/Shinkaruk but of course that only happens if a Kesler/Hamhuis/Bieksa is traded....we'll see if Gillis will pull off a blockbuster.
