Coburn and Grossman both have limited NTCs. Anyone know the details of those?

Looking at how bad the Oilers are, 3 2nd round picks might not have been that bad. It's almost like having 3 late first round picks.
- PhillySportsGuy

Only one was their pick though. I forget where the rest fell in the round. I honestly wouldn't take that offer either.

Honestly, Coburn's value goes up for the rest of our D being in shambles.

Ek is always breaking the big trades

hopefully not violating the COC here, but the Hockey News was speculating that it could be L. Schenn going to Edmonton and that he would do better in Edmonton with "better coaching."

I thought the Briere to Pittsburgh rumor was weirder. Don't know how I'd feel about that.
- jmatchett383

I don't see how that could possibly help Pittsburgh. They don't have enough scoring already?

Grossmann can only be traded to a team that will let him have both NN's on the back of his jersey. He's done hiding.

I know. I wouldn't either. Id like to keep Coburn around for a long time.

On Hemsky...

The Red Wings and Penguins are the most aggressive. However keep an eye out for the Flyers, they have defense the Oilers like.

- youarewrong

Where would Hemsky even fit in this lineup?

They obviously need his 2-way play and high-sticking penalties.

Coaching hasn't helped the defensemen they have. They're the worst group in the league.

He'd replace Hartnell when we trade him because he's awful. Hemsky is the key.

it's more of a general statement regarding the Oilers seeking a defenseman and not so much what the return would be.

I feel like Hemsky is the proverbial booger that Edmonton has been trying to wipe off on the rest of the league for awhile now.
