One d man who I am not as impressed by as the media is has to be Karlsson. I feel like he is hyped to be better than what he is. His offensive game is spectacular but defensively hes not that great at all. With that said I would take him on the Isles in a heart beat, but still not too impressed. |

He has his lapses but so does every defenseman. What makes up for his mistakes is his great skating ability. The goal Stepan scored is similar to goals he scored against Boston last year in game of the semis vs. Boston. Both Chara and Karlsson had brain farts and Stepan was thinking ahead of both plays. It happens. |

i agree to an extent. karlsson is extremely fast though, so his speed helps him make a ton of really good defensive plays. he's the best offensive defenseman in the game, but not the best two-way defenseman.
but i also think that a lot of people poop on him and subban for being terrible defensively when that's not true...they're still both good defensively, just not the best in the game. |

Guys, keep the topic to hockey and players. Other topics are acceptable as well. The color of the player's skin is not.
Thanks |

The Penguin announcers ripped Karlsson to shreds last night. Any team with Kris Letang on it, shouldn't be criticizing the other team's Norris winner for lack of defensive skills. Damn they are atrocious. Bob Errey is pitiful. And they're constantly begging and whining for penalties.
BTW, nice tribute to Sam over the weekend. |

The worst those two. Remember when they made the joke about Hobey Baker going down hard in plane crash. Then they laugh like hyenas on the air. |

The Penguin announcers are part of the reason Pens fans are so arrogant and clueless. |

Yes it was a nice tribute, the man should have some sort of banner hanging from the spokes when his career is over. He is like every Ranger fan's uncle. In the interview with Fran Healy they had video of him making goal calls, I didn't realize how animated he gets, pointing to the ice, pointing to the monitor, it was pretty cool to watch... |

Probably true. I mean, everything's a penalty against their team. And of course, anything called on them is the wrong call. |

Kris Letang has 227 points in 419 nhl games, good for .55 ppg. Karlsson has 214 points in 289 nhl games good for .74. I'd kill to have EK65 running the Rangers power play from the point. |

I gues sit is, but, I will say this, Sam and Joe are professional when it comes to trying to appear objective, sometimes its too much where as guys like Jack Edwards will call out a city or a player. Its comical but I can see how it annoys the fans of the opposition.
and I know you weren't making a comparison but i was just making a point about Sam Rosen... |

Hate to say it but I agree with you...
I kid, you're ok by me Tom, you just have so much hate inside of you.
I wouldn't mind Letang but I think he'd get worse in NY. |

For some reason, Jack Edwards doesn't bother me too much. I know that others hate him, but I actually find him somewhat amusing. Perhaps its because the Rangers-Bruins has really had that much heat over the years. I thought the video of his call against the Leafs in Game 7 was just priceless. |

Oh I hear you. I despise Jack Edwards. When the Habs play the Bruins, I always get the B's feed on NHLCI. I have to mute it. I can't deal with the nonsense.
I agree about Sam. He is very fair. Joe can be too much sometimes, but he's far from being anywhere near some of the bad ones. Chico anyone? |
