terrible. The best part is, the team that will likely not make the playoffs, is locked up for many years, well into their thirties. All of them.
I don't think there is a single team in the NHL that is in a bigger mess than they are. - prock
In a couple years they will be Canada's worst team!
And that is hard to do with Edmonton in Canada...! |

NHL: A season revealed talked about this. Said they are a team in flux. They just look defeated on the ice and on the bus. |

if by "flux", you actually mean "deep crap", then yes, I totally agree. Couldn't happen to a bigger group of douchebags either. |

It's hilarious. Also very nice to know is that their GM is about as good as JFJ was. Look at his track record. It's absolutely abysmal. Drafting? in 6 drafts he's come up with one NHL caliber player that he traded away for scraps. For a team with little to no depth, where it should be easy to crack a team, that's brutal. They say he's great at contracts.... ummm, Luongo? Sedins at $7M till age 90? Burrows at $4.5M? Terrible. Trades? Oh my god, that's the icing on the cake. He's been raped on every single trade he's made. |

I do too. I respect that guy as a person immensely. But he's declining in ability, and stuck in that hellhole of an organization for the rest of his career. No way out. |

I don't disagree that Gillis is a douche, but I think they win the Weise/Diaz trade personally

Anyone know where/how to find East vs West head to head records? I can't find them anywhere, and i think it must be closer now.
Edit: Scratch that, i think i have found it and i don't think it's very close. As you were Gentlemen. |

yeah, he's got it rough
the other thing to remember about the nucks have had a poop ton of injury problems this year. depleting their depth at any given time.
meaning due to injuries there has only really ever been one scoring line that was an actual threat.. easy to key in on them and shut them down.
Henrik Sedin has also missed the last 6 games as another example.. just returned yesterday I believe.
they went for long spells without burrows, edler, schroeder.. had to go through a stint without luongo... its been bad
so them struggling this year isnt really a surprise.. but to say they are a garbage team its foolish.. there is a lot of talent there still.... but they are def in their swan song years for the core group

really shows the consequences that can happen when signing a longterm contract, and how a team situation can change over time to the point where the money becomes secondary to misery |

nope. Both teams may be badly mismanaged, but are way way way ahead in good young assets. If either of them ever get decent GMs, they'll improve pretty quickly. The Canucks are pretty much stuck with what they have, and what they have is good enough to keep them out of the basement, not bad enough to let them pick up good young assets, and locked up long term. They're pretty much destined to land in the 8 to 12 range in the conference every year, and declining, with nowhere to go. For the next four years, they're in no mans land. |

hit vs west, and vs east, on the standings page on nhl.com.
And yes, they're pretty close. .560 or so now? They were near .700 for the west at the beginning of the year. |

Just heard an awful CPC ad on TSN radio slamming Justin Trudeau for wanting to legalize pot.
Their main point?
"You mean it will be as readily available as alcohol and cigarettes? My kids will be taught that recreational drug use is ok?"
Is this what passes for politics these days? |

They may. But it's a pretty small, inconsequential trade, and I'm a little confused why they're going after dmen too. |
