Even Sens fans are saying they were happy to get a point out of that dominated game..... - Cooshie
The sens are a brutal team. That bobby Ryan trade will haunt them. He's disappeared almost as badly as he will next summer. |

It will be interesting to see if they can lock up both Spezza and Ryan in two summers.
My guess is they'll both be wanting Giroux/Kessel money. |

Kulemin for Niskanen
Toronto needs defense badly and can score plenty goals so they can give up a forward for a top 4 defenseman. Both players are 'rentals' andcould be resigned by both teams at a fair rate.
Maple Leafs aren't going to get a top pairing guy so stop dreaming about Shea Weber because the asking price will be extreme (Top6 forward with term/Top4 defenseman - which they don't have/Level-A prospect/1st rd pick). - quinnjj
dont think any of us are thinking shea webber... but ya... good one |

New Power Rankings up http://www.tsn.ca/fantasy_news/rankings/nhl/
Leafs move up to 17th
8) NYR 30-23-3 (3 points back of the leafs)
12) Winnipeg 27-25-5 (25th in total points)
13) Habs 29-21-6 (Up from 17th for some strange reason)
- GardinerExpress
Not funny he is actually right on. To the untrained eye the Leafs should be in 11th-ish. Cullen uses advanced stats and player availability to rank teams. If you notice Bolland is the only player noted as a key injury meaning Clarkson is back in the roster hense the -6 places on the power rank. |

"Ryan's still generating shots (2.69 per game, compared to 2.62 per game for the season), so the goals should come." advanced stats
His rationale for Montreal is confusing, but they got rid of a puck moving defensman for a fourth line checker, and play only 3 teams that might beat them in the next couple of weeks. |

wonderful...... Teams that are playing below the leafs over the 50+ games of the year as well as the last 10 are substantially higher.

Not according to Yost.
"Ottawa and Pittsburgh, for the better part of sixty minutes and change, traded blows in a fantastic regular season game."
Pitt outshot 48-25. - The Law
Corsi only relevant when it suits you....... and you wonder why non corsi take issue with it. same thing happened Saturday. IMO the Leafs were the 2nd best team on the ice for the 1st half of the game but they outshot them by a considerable margin. But all the talk was about how well the Sens were and how poor the Leafs played. That's not what Corsi says though...... So either you are pro corsi and the Leafs killed the Sens on Saturday and Ottawa was lucky to be up 2-0 before the Leafs goals started going in, or you're a hypocrite. |

It's been over 100 games now I'd say the sample size is too small. Their luck is bound to run out sooner or later.
