according to Hughson and Simpson on Saturday's HNIC broadcast... Turris with Bobby Ryan and Clarke MacArthur is the best line in the NHL.

how dare you argue with their esteemed opinions!

I heard that too... (frank)in made my night

...and on that note, that's akin to saying:

Monkees > Beatles

Coldplay > Radiohead

Eddie Van Halen > Joe Satriani

Nirvana > Pearl Jam

So why do you keep Gardiner in every option? Honestly he's a terrible defenseman. I love his skating but who doesn't. It's his D brain that is totally useless, again against Ottawa another terrible pinch but I know...I know it was a fransons fault......right?

( not just you but many on HB )

- Garnie

I am not saying it was Fransons fault...And did you see Gardiner play last playoffs? If they get him with the right partner he will be good like he was in the playoffs. Also you could say the same for Franson. After how bad both are defensivley they both have strenghts. I would say Fransons is his size and shooting, and Gardiners is his skating and when he decideds to play he has a very good first pass that starts the breakout.

gardiner is 23, and has played less than 150 nhl games.

his game has always been offense first, the rest comes with maturity and experience. having a reliable partner who can help short out his defensive shortcomings wouldn't hurt either.

for being so horrific defensively, he's managed some fairly decent +/- numbers through his 140ish nhl games, every single one of them playing for one of the worst defensive squads in the league.

this boot gardiner logic is insane. has the fanbase not learned from turfing talented young players? really? the 23 year old offense first blueliner has defensive shortcomings before having even played his 150th game in the league? shocker!

They don't really "wow" me

EDIT: bands that have brought something unique to the world are bands like the beatles, bands like KISS, AC/DC, Pink Floyd, Queen, etc

Franson has way more offensive upside.

Gardiner is just ok at D but he's softer than butter on a hot plate, he's lost in the udder teams end too, udder than that he's terrific

Dude... anyone who owned an electric guitar for more than a week can finger-tap.

EVH is famous just because he was one of the first to do it, along with Rhoads.

An unworthy list of musicians that are put on a pedastal because they introduced something new while at the same time, possessing average talent.

Just like Cobain and Hendrix... all cashing in on new generations with mediocre skilzz.

Bunch of over-hyped hacks if you ask me.

I'm not saying get rid of him, just don't see him as a better option then Franson. Lots of reasoning but too long for the ipad

There's two Beatles you (frank)ing penisbreath!!!

The sappy one in the early 60's and the cool one at the end of the decade where they said "(frank) you, we're writing our oun poop", grew out their hair and beards, and got high as a kite 24/7.

The latter are the true Beatles.
