Orr has gone from being arguably the best fighter in the league to a punching bag. After losing a fight (which was rare),the old Orr would be looking desperately to fight trying to prove his toughness , now he loses them all and doesn't look like he gives a (frank).
- dionschenn

Agree 100%

Orr is mailing it in, you don't go from that tough and mean a player to...Nothing.

He gave up after Parros.

Now he's like having Laraque on the team

You mean Gardiner will have to sit

Franson may be bad at d but Gards is worse

- Garnie

Look, Carlyle and Nonis need to wake up. The Leafs have ONE right handed defence man. You might not think it effects the D man that much but it dose. Trust me. The Leafs need to get some righty's. I am not saying this is a great option, but it is just an example.

Phaneuf - Girardi
Rielly - Niskanen
Gardiner - Gleason
Frason for Girardi. Kulemin for Niskanen
Or

Phaneuf - Girardi
Rielly - Niskanen
Gunnarsson - Gleason
Frason for Girardi. Kulemin for Niskanen
Trade Gards for a forward.
Or like I said yesterday.

Phaneuf - Girardi
Rielly - McKeown
Gardiner/Gunnar - Gleason

I do not think trading Franson for GIrardi is the answer, but it is just an example. To me I like the third one the best.

He isn't that bad man, FML can't even stand up and fight anymore.

Orr is a shell of a once great fighter.

Somebody call Kaberle

- Byfuglien Ate Me

So we will use mclaren, if a guy tries to pass him he will punch them in the head

yeah trading for one of the better defenders in the league while our defense still has its lapses is not a good idea, if you like gleason you will like girardi way more

Well I guess it couldn't hurt to try....

But really, no one thinks Ranger is getting rusty sitting this long??

His game wasn't that good to begin with

Leafs need to make a major move on defense, if that means bringing in a guy like girardi you do it. We need one more top defender who is similar to gleason but better

Why are we trading an RFA (Franson) for a UFA (Girardi)?

Yzerman needs to man up and tell Stamkos he isn't going to Sochi.

Sorry, but you can't play one game and then go to the Olympics.

I love the fact the guy is dying to play for his country, but it isn't fair to his country.

- Atomic Wedgie

dead wrong.

you're talking about the second best player our country has, and probably top 3 on the face of the planet.

if he's cleared, and deemed ready, he plays. it doesn't make a difference how many nhl games he's squeezed in beforehand.

So why do you keep Gardiner in every option? Honestly he's a terrible defenseman. I love his skating but who doesn't. It's his D brain that is totally useless, again against Ottawa another terrible pinch but I know...I know it was a fransons fault......right?

The UFA would arguably sign with us, given consent that we would be able to talk to his agent firstly

Id honestly take Kessel Bozak JVR over most lines in the NHL
- lotempio8119

according to Hughson and Simpson on Saturday's HNIC broadcast... Turris with Bobby Ryan and Clarke MacArthur is the best line in the NHL.

how dare you argue with their esteemed opinions!

Did they produce against the leafs? No. Thus, their line is irrelevant. Remember the hockey world revolves around us, not the senz.

Monkees > Beatles

Coldplay > Radiohead
