I really hope that isn't all Bergevin has up his sleeve though.
He has yet to add any significant piece to the team yet. Tweaks to the third and fourth line only. - Biggus Richardus
Building from the bottom up, once he figures out that bottom line then he will move on. |

im sure Weise sucks. i'm not under any illusions. but we also have George Parros in our lineup so it's not like things are getting worse. also i (frank)ing hated Diaz. - DoubleDown
Yeah, I'm not doing back flips over this deal(Canucks fans have very little hope to even make the playoffs or get past one round this year). But on paper, I think it's worth the risk as both are pending FA's and Tanev/Bieksa are both injured. Both of them are the only righties on the team so this makes sense.
Weise will be solid for you guys early on..when he first got here he was definitely playing physical but got kind of complacent IMO. And he's not much of an NHL player to begin with. |

Sorry, the Leafs don't have the league wrapped around their little finger like the Bruins do. - Not_Stee
yeah it makes sense for the league to distance themselves from the most profitable team in the league. |

Acquiring Dale Weise right there, in that one move , you have the reason why the Habs and Bergevin are struggling and will continue to do so.
Fourth liner who is a HUMAN PUNCHING BAG...heck even bj crombeen arguably the worst fighter in the league has beaten this guy up
offensively challenged so he'll fit right in with the habs
and it`s also a clear acknowledgement that the Parros pick was a complete fiasco... (among other bad moves: not signing PK YET , parros, desharnais four years, moen, bouillon, BRIERE, not helping the team out at the deadline last year when they were screaming for help, michael mccarron etc etc)
It`s Gauthier-Gainey Prise 2......and.....CUT - Paulg
So he punches with his face? So what? We've missed that type of grit ever since Tom Kostopoulos left town. |

So basically Gillis sold high. I bet he finishes with no more than 3 or 4 points from here on out. |
